I kept getting calls from this number, like 26 times or something. Finally picked up and it sounded like a bloke with an Indian accent. He just wouldn’t stop ringing, so I ended up cursing at him and then he finally hung up. Fingers crossed he doesn’t call again!

When I picked up, the person said they were from the Thames Valley fraud protection team, identifying themselves as Sgt (surname). They mentioned it’s a business number so they aren’t supposed to call it and promised to take my number off their list.

Classic scam call. I told them straight up that I’m not the person they’re looking for and the address is wrong. They just ended the call. A few times I asked if they knew any parents with names like Barry, John or Simon and they hung up each time. Seriously, the phone company needs to sort this out soon or lots of older people will end up getting scammed properly.
