I got a call from someone claiming to be Catherine at Orange earlier, asking for some info to sort out an order. Thing is, my phone contract’s actually with O2!

Got a message around half past seven in the evening, then a call came through. They asked me to confirm my name and address but didn’t really give any other info. After doing a quick search on this number, they claimed to be from a PPI company. When I rang Lloyds to double-check, their voicemail said their PPI department only works in the daytime. Really glad I didn’t fall for this one.

This isn't a scam at all. If you've made a complaint about PPI or any mis-selling through Halifax or Lloyds, they'll ring you from this exact number.

I get these calls almost daily, and I honestly wouldn’t pick up if I were you. The caller claimed to be from Lloyds Bank, telling me about some refund on bank charges. They seemed to know quite a bit about my account, so I almost believed it was legit. But after reading up on stuff like this, I’m really doubtful now. I didn’t give them any of my bank info, just to be safe.
