Coincidentally, that is indeed my name. However, she then attempted to say my last name in a rather hushed tone, and it didn’t sound anything like it. So, I kindly informed her she had misdialled. About ten minutes later, the same woman rang back. Recognising her voice, I reiterated that she was mistaken about the number. When I inquired about the number she was trying to reach, she mentioned 07706. My number, however, begins with 07739, which makes it puzzling as to how she misdialled in the first place. It felt quite odd. I reside in the southern part of the country, so I wouldn’t be affiliated with that particular hospital either. Honestly, I can't fathom what sort of scam they might concoct using a hospital contact number.

After looking into this number, I found out it belongs to St James’s Hospital. However, I must say I’m rather disheartened that they couldn’t even leave a brief message indicating which department was trying to reach me. I understand that patient confidentiality is crucial, but a simple note about the source of their call would enable me to get in touch directly. Given that I’m waiting for urgent surgery, I fear I might have missed an opportunity for a cancellation! It’s high time they sorted this out. I’m left feeling anxious and stressed about when I’ll finally get the assistance and care I desperately need, which isn’t good for my wellbeing!

We happened to be out when St James got in touch to confirm our appointment. They dropped a message to let us know they'd called, which was quite helpful. Later on, they also phoned my mobile to see if we required any additional assistance or information prior to their visit.

this number 01132609999 rang me earlier and when i tried ringing back it said calls and voicemails arent accepted from this number. they really should leave a message explaining what the call is about with a callback number coz some folks might be waiting on important hospital calls about surgeries or appointments. not impressed one bit!

I had a call from the number mentioned, and upon checking, it turns out it was linked to St James' Hospital. I rang the main switchboard to clarify, but they mentioned they don’t have any means of tracing internal calls. Apparently, this number always appears when the hospital makes calls. I was advised to hold out for a return call. Honestly, it doesn’t reflect well on the hospital's procedures.

I just rang St. James' and they said the number's a general one used by a few hospitals around Leeds. Apparently, they can't trace where the calls come from, so the only thing you can do is wait for them to ring back.

Yeah, totally this is the outpatients appointment team from one of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals. If you have to miss or cancel your appointment, like if you’re ill, this is the number that rings you back to sort a new date. They might also call if an earlier slot opens up or if there’s any sort of issue with your appointment. For me, I had a Rheumatology appointment but got a nasty bug and had to cancel so I wouldn’t spread it in the hospital. That was Chapel Allerton in Leeds. Hope this helps!

Occasionally they call if an earlier slot opens up or if there’s any issue with your booking. For me, I had a Rheumatology appointment but had to cancel cause I was poorly and didn’t want to spread germs. This was at Chapel Allerton, Leeds. Hope this helps!
