I received a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to be from BT, insisting that there was an issue with my internet connection. They requested that I sit in front of my computer so they could supposedly sort it out. I challenged the caller, pointing out that if they knew about my supposed problem, they must have accessed my personal information without my consent. In the end, the phone call was cut off. What’s more, they claimed to be representing BT and even provided a London address, yet I don’t even use BT services!

I received what was claimed to be a call from B.T. regarding some dodgy activity linked to my IP address and broadband connection. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a bit suspect and perhaps not the real deal.
