I got a call from some guy from India who seemed totally lost when I asked who he was calling for. He said something about British Telecom, but couldn’t explain why they were calling me about fraud or why the call was automated. When I pressed him, he just dropped his ID number. I told him maybe the scam’d seem a bit more believable if he actually picked up saying the right department, and maybe sorted a quieter place to call from - all I could hear was cars and noise in the background.
