I got a call from this particular number on the 20th of December 2014, but I opted to let it ring through to voicemail as I didn’t recognise it, and I frequently receive annoying calls. Generally, I’ll only answer if someone leaves a message. This time, however, no message was left, so I decided to look up what others had said about this number after the fact. Unsurprisingly, it turned out to be yet another one of those tedious scams trying to infiltrate my computer.

At 7pm today, I got a call out of the blue from this number about my computer. I always tell them I don’t own one and they usually just hang up. But this time, the bloke, who spoke with an Asian accent, started swearing and using really nasty language. It upset me a lot, and I’m planning to report it to the police through Crimestoppers because of how rude and horrible the caller was.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, saying they'd had reports my computer was acting up. I was a bit iffy about it, so I told them I'd have a local expert look at it and then ended the call. Loads of scammers have been ringin’ saying there’s some security holes coz’ it’s the holidays or something, and they offered to “fix” my PC remotely. I played dumb and kept them on the phone for about twenty minutes. Eventually, they started askin’ if I was crazy or what, so I told them off proper and then ended the call.

That's when they suggested that my iPad must have corrupted files just like a laptop would. At that point, I decided it was best to hang up. These lot are absolute lowlifes and honestly deserve a proper kicking. Someone called me claiming to be 'John' from Microsoft. He said my computer had some issues like slowdowns and bugs that could get worse and cause a crash.
