Got a call from a landline number 01129 768182, sounded like one of those dodgy internet provider scams. Just hung up right away.

We've been inundated with calls from this number, and after much trial and error, we've discovered that the most effective method to handle them is simply to play along. They typically prompt you to visit a certain website (which, naturally, you shouldn't entertain) and after a moment of pretending to engage, just say something like, "Do you reckon we're daft? Jog on!" or similar. Ever since we adopted this approach, they've largely left us alone. Wishing you all the best in managing them!

I've come across this number in our database of missed calls. Strangely, there's a lack of any other comments regarding this particular number. It seems to be associated with the 01114 and 01115 prefixes that are mentioned on this site. I reckon there should be some regulations in place requiring companies to disclose the specific contact numbers they use for telemarketing, so I can prevent any further annoying calls. As there's been no voicemail left, I'm completely in the dark about who's behind this call.

Today, we received a call from this number, and a gentleman on the other end mentioned he was with some sort of global tech support, or at least that’s what we could decipher from his accent, which appeared to be Indian. Given that our number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, it’s baffling how they got through. I informed them of our TPS registration and promptly ended the call.

Received a call from an unfamiliar number starting with 01129. A foreign gentleman prattled on about our computer system, to which we promptly replied that we didn't possess one. He seemed rather taken aback and fell silent for a spell before ultimately hanging up. Quite the curious encounter!
