Got a call on my work phone, said it was from Microsoft about my computer. The guy said I had a lovely voice and then asked if I fancied marrying him!

Every contemporary mobile device boasts a caller blocking feature. Yet, if you're subscribed to BT in the UK, prepare to fork out an extra fee just to enable your phone to reveal the incoming number (Caller ID). Quite a cheeky move, if you ask me!

Today, I received a call from what was unmistakably an Indian call centre. The chap at the other end, who claimed to be David from 'Windows', immediately set off alarm bells in my head. Although I knew it was a scam, I played along, probing him further with questions about whether he really was representing 'Windows' or Microsoft itself. When I expressed my disbelief that Microsoft would reach out to folks at random, he continued to peddle his nonsense as if he were flogging a dead horse. Eventually, he resorted to some rather colourful language, calling me a "f**king b**ch" and suggesting I could shove my computer where the sun doesn't shine! How lovely, isn't it?

Got some dodgy calls today from people pretending to be Microsoft, saying my PC had a virus and I needed to pay to get it fixed. Total scam, watch out!

Despite informing him that I don’t possess a computer, he continues to ring me incessantly.

I could hear what sounded like a busy call centre in the background but there was no one actually on the line.

They phoned yesterday and once more this morning, didn’t pick up and then just ended the call.

Fraudster alert! An Indian individual masquerading under a British moniker claiming to be from Microsoft support. My advice? Keep them on the line for as long as you can to tie them up! And for an extra bit of mischief, place a loud whistle close to the phone so you can end the chat with an ear-piercing blast!

Got a call today but we never pick up if we don’t know the number. Also got two more calls, one showed as Unavailable and another from an international number, likely all from the same caller.

This is yet another dodgy attempt to deceive you about an alleged virus on your computer - just hang up! Avoid any chat with them; it's better for your sanity and will spare you from unnecessary stress.

In the past two days, I've received a couple of calls. The second one was from an Indian chap who went on and on about my supposedly compromised computer. I decided to let him finish before graciously informing him that I had to hang up. Staying composed and courteous really helps me manage my stress levels.

Got a call from this number for the third time now. Spoke to a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He was trying to get us to do something on our computer, but when we told him the PC wasn’t even switched on and we just played along, he got really rude! This has scam written all over it, best to block this number if they ring you!!!

If you happen to receive a call from 01112544310, just put the phone down straight away! It’s a total scam and the people on the other end are quite aggressive.

Got three calls from them today. I pretended to go along with it at first. Then when they caught on, they began shouting abuse at me. Needless to say, I told them to bugger off and never ring me back.

I received a call from a dodgy Indian call centre claiming to be from Microsoft. It’s quite baffling, isn’t it? If Bill Gates is rolling in money, you’d think he’d put a stop to these crooks. My suggestion - consider getting a Mac or just say you don’t have a computer at all!

I received a call today from a rather peculiar number, so I thought I'd pick up. However, the moment I answered, there was nothing but silence on the other end. Quite strange, I must say!

This morning, I received a call from this number, with someone posing as a Microsoft representative. I told the chap, who had a distinctly Indian accent, that he was fibbing. Shortly after, the line went dead. Given that this number is already flagged, why is it so difficult to trace it and put an end to their shenanigans?

Absolute pain this is. The TPS clearly doesn't do a thing.

Got two calls earlier - first was a woman named Jane, said she was from BT, called at 10:02 but hid her number. Then another bloke, Sean, said he’s from Microsoft and showed this number. Sound in the background was the same for both. I’ve visited India a couple of times and worked with loads of people from there, but never met one with a Western name like that before. Feels like it’s the same call centre messing about.

Just like the previous accounts, I had an encounter with a caller purporting to represent Microsoft. When I questioned his legitimacy, he had the audacity to label me an "idiot lady" before abruptly hanging up. What a cheek!

Received another call today (I've been inundated with them recently), a bloke on the other end asserting he was from Microsoft, phoning about an issue with my computer. I mentioned I’d connect him to our “legal department” to handle it, and he suddenly cut off the line. Quite amusing, really!

Just got myself a Sentry phone number blocker and it worked perfectly, stopped this number from ringing me today.

I've received a couple of calls from this number as well, and each time I picked up, I didn't say a word before they just cut off the line. My suggestion? Either stay silent when you pick up or just ignore the call entirely. If anyone has any tips on how to block this number, I’d be grateful for the help!

I received a phone call from this number earlier today. After I greeted the caller a few times, a woman-at least I presume it was a woman-queried if I owned a computer. I replied, "Yes, I have one at my workplace." Not long after, the line went dead. Quite peculiar, I must say!

Got a call from them earlier, had a chat then told them they were talking rubbish and to nicely bugger off. About a minute later, he rang back shouting all sorts of stuff, swearing like mad down the line. Proper con artists. Think I’m gonna grab a whistle and if he rings again, I’ll give him a right earful!

They've rung us five times now without uttering a word, which is rather frustrating, particularly since we're expecting some crucial calls.

Got a call from 01112544310 again, second time in two days, but no one answers. I’m gonna see if I can block this number somehow. Clearly, the TPS isn’t doing its job at all!!!

Received a call from an unknown number-decided not to pick up.

Received a phone call purporting to be from Microsoft, claiming my computer was infested with some dire malware. The chap on the other end was quite difficult to follow, with a thick accent that sounded Asian and an appalling grasp of English. Not to mention the cacophony of noises in the background, reminiscent of a bustling call centre, which did no favours for his message either. When I pressed him on how my devices were safeguarded against malware and the fact that junk and spam emails are automatically filtered and obliterated before I even lay eyes on them, he bizarrely asserted that my router was the culprit behind this infection. He then requested that I power up one of my machines so he could guide me through the process of fixing this issue. Naturally, I refused his request and grilled him on how he had obtained my ex-directory number. At this point, he decided to end the call rather abruptly.

My phone kept ringing loads today. Picked up once, all I got was some weird noises then total silence, nada. Looks like some sort of automatic dialer thats quicker than whoever’s meant to be running it. I’m seriously thinking my landline’s about to be useless. The only ones who’ll lose out are the phone firms.

This number rings me every single day, claiming to be from Microsoft - I told the bloke to piss off and go take a very long walk off a short pier. Why on earth do these calls never bloody stop?

This number called me, claiming there was a problem with my Microsoft account. I knew straight away it was a scam since I don’t even have anything from Microsoft. So I asked the bloke what my name was and he actually spelled out W_H_O_R_E_. Can’t believe someone that daft even knows how to spell!

I'm so fed up with that 01112544310 number ringing me, no one says a word then they just hang up. Don’t even get the chance to tell em to piss off.

someone said they were from the support team of some windows computer firm. i just said “oh, yeah?” and they instantly cut the call.

They rang me twice but said nothing at all. I've now put them on my BT Call Protect Blacklist. Done with them for good.
