My phone just rang and when I picked up, a guy with an asian accent was on the line. I asked who was calling and he just ended the call immediately. Honestly, noone should be calling that number back. I checked it using 1471 and the number showed as 0111111111252. I’m sure it’s some kinda spam or scam advert. Best to just share your story if you get the same and ignore it completely.

Just got a call from this number for the first time today around 11:53 in the morning. When I picked up, there was a bit of silence to start with, then a man with an Asian-sounding accent asked how I was doing. I said I was fine and then asked what he needed. He then claimed he had some news about an accident. I thought it was a load of rubbish and quickly hung up.

It's a Malaysian caller, the same story again. They claim you've had some accident you clearly weren't involved in, blah blah blah. I've just gone ahead and blocked it on all my devices. :-)

Phone went off at 11 sharp. Nobody answered when I picked up. Just the typical automated rubbish, some power dialler thing - maybe it went quiet cause it heard a mans voice or a younger one, not really sure. Can’t say it’s PPI or anything like that, probably just another pointless nuisance. Whoever promises to stop these calls will definitely get my vote come election day!!!

I checked out the TPS site like I mentioned earlier, and there’s a number you can ring. If you’re looking to cut down on these sorts of calls, there's another service called Silent CallGard you can sign up for by calling 0844 3722325. I used 'we q4u' to call for free, so I’d recommend trying 0300 124 0037 instead of the 0844 one.

A few days back, I got a call from a bloke with a really thick Indian/Pakistani accent, calling himself ‘Peter’ (!?), claiming he was from an accident helpline and wanted to talk about an accident I supposedly had. I said, "If that’s true Peter, then what’s the date of this accident?" And he just hung up. Now I’ve had another call from this number today, and after reading these comments, it looks like Peter might be ringing again. Hopefully, he picks a better name next time, because ‘Peter’ didn’t fit him one bit. I’m signed up with TPS and will be reporting it to them.

Got a call about a car crash but we aint had any. those strange numbers on the caller ID aint real, they’re just made up by a computer on their side. it’s just to hide who they really are. fingers crossed the new laws kicking in this april in the UK will help clamp down on these calls.

I've told these lot twice already to take me off their list and yet they keep ringing me up. They even dropped me a text on my mobile, which was a bit much. So when they called again a moment ago, I wasn't having it and told the bloke with the Asian accent to do one. Seriously, enough’s enough now.

Got a call from 01111111251 today, and it was exactly like what you lot described. After about 6 seconds of silence, a bloke said something like “hi I’m calling about an accident,” then silence again. Immediately I rang TalkTalk’s free last number service on 14258 to block them, so hopefully that’s the end of it. I’ve just signed up with GoDaddy for a few websites and gave them my number, not sure if it's connected. Anyone else having this problem?
