8 years01023598665 A bunch of fraudsters who clearly struggle with their English skills.8 yearsGot a call from an asian woman claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was infected or something. I just cut her off straight away and told her I don't even own a computer. She kinda stuttered and said maybe she got the wrong details or something. Bit funny really.Microsoft8 yearsI had a call from this really pushy Asian lady who started going on about some fault they’d supposedly been told about. After a bit, I told her the Christmas tree in the corner wasn’t where I’d taken a tumble from. She then said she’d shut down my computer and just ended the call. 0908 yearsGot a call from an Asian lady claiming my computer was full of malware and viruses. She said she was calling from "the server" and seemed so convincing! Three times she asked me to turn on my PC. No way, I just told her to hang up. Honestly, if you get calls like this, just ignore them.8 yearsSome woman kept on calling me, her accent sounded strongly Asian, and she kept telling me my computer was reporting some kind of problem to their servers and it was at risk or something like that. The classic scam story you hear about all the time. She was so pushy I barely got a chance to speak, just kept going on and on. I told her to buzz off, more or less, and then I just ended the call. Total pain trying to get a word in!8 yearsGot a call from some dodgy number, felt like a total scam. Definitely not someone legit.8 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be online support saying my computer had some serious malware. She tried to get me to open a remote access thing called {#]remote 123] ###. I just kept her on the line for about 10 minutes. At least that’s 10 minutes she’s wasted and not bothering any elderly folks!8 yearsSo this caller claiming to be Ashley John from some office in Mayfair rang me up and I ended up chatting with them for like 6 minutes. They had a bit of an Eurasian accent which was a bit odd. They asked when I last used my computer and I said about three weeks ago. Then they told me they found malware on my computer around that time or something. I wasn’t buying it and said I couldn’t turn my computer on right then as I was about to head out, asked them to call back later. Eventually I blocked the number, which BT says it doesn’t even recognise. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.Ashley JohnMayfairBT8 yearsI tried to use BT Check but it couldn’t identify the 01023 area code.BTSubmit Your Own Report (0102 359 8665)
