Spoke with someone who sounded Asian, claimed to be calling from MSN or similar. I said I was tied up and he said he’d call back. Seems like they just want to access my computer. I’ve blocked the number now. Stay clear of it.

I got a call from someone saying they were from some worldwide Microsoft group wanting to chat about my PCs. When I asked which one, they just said all of them. I said I’m in IT and asked them to stop calling me. Then they started shouting and called me a stupid old c***. Proper rude and aggressive, definitely a scammer.

I just got another call, but from a new number this time. Spent a good 10 minutes on the line with them while they kept pushing me to switch on my laptop. No way was I falling for that! Definitely sharing this number with my mates and family, especially for the older folks - they need to watch out for this scam.

I got a call from someone who said her name was Jane Smith, sounded like she was from abroad or something. She kept going on about how my computer had loads of viruses and I needed to sort it out on my desktop or laptop. I had to tell her I just use a tablet, no computer at all. Then she got really nasty, shouted something rude at me like “go multiply” or whatever, then hung up straight away! Proper rude behaviour.

Got a ring earlier today from some so-called tech support, saying there was an issue with my computer that they’d sort out quick. After listening for about five minutes, I’d had it with this bloke from the subcontinent and told him straight up he was a blooming scammer. Then he just hung up on me. Honestly, I felt a bit shook!

They rang me initially, and because of my disability, I honestly believed they were legit. So, I went along with it without any suspicion, especially since I didn’t have antivirus software on my PC and do visit some adult websites. It wasn’t until I spoke to a mate that she warned me I shouldn’t have given them access to my computer. They keep ringing but I just ignore it now. Thankfully, I've no funds for them to steal, and my passwords are really complicated, so I figure I’m safe. It’s definitely a scam, stay clear of it.

Got a call a few mins ago from someone with a Brum or East Midlands accent. They said they’d found my credit card and wanted to check if it was mine. Asked for my address and some personal info to “confirm” it. They sounded quite polite and spoke proper English but seemed a bit fishy to me. I reckon it’s a scam.

Got a call just now, couldn’t catch the very start properly but then the guy said “I’m calling about your computer, right?” I told him no and ended the call, then blocked the number straight away. The accent was clearly Indian, sounded like a call centre scammer trying to get money or info. Total rubbish!

I've had loads of calls from these lot. On the second call, the bloke even called me a liar when I told him they’d wrecked my laptop after following their instructions. Poor things, bless their hearts! ????????

Got a call again from some bloke saying he’s from “Microsoft’s Tech Team.” This is the second time they’ve tried this on me. They ask me to log into my PC and share these weird computer codes with them, claiming their ‘engineers’ will sort it out. But every time I ask if they really think I’m a complete muppet, they just drop the call straight away.

Some foreign woman called saying there was a problem with my emails and wanted to get into my computer. She started asking loads of questions but I caught on straight away. I just pretended to go along with it until she twigged I wasn’t having any of it, then she just ended the call.
