It’s mad that the cops say don’t call a free number but then want you to ring 101, which costs you. That number isn’t even covered in my inclusive call minutes! Feels like a bit of a rip off to me. From now on, I’ll just be ringing 999 instead, just to show I’m not happy having to pay for what’s meant to be a free service.

I never actually phoned this number, but for some reason it showed up as an outgoing call on my Virgin landline and cost me 13p. Quite confusing!

So I called 101 to get through to the police, right? Then I spot this 0101 000 0000 on my VM bill, and turns out it’s a flat 15p charge no matter how long you're on the line with them. Cheers Virgin Mobile, really appreciate you charging me for those numbers that are supposed to be free like 0300, 101, and probably even 111 too. Not cool at all!

I noticed a charge of 13p from this number on my Virgin bill. When I rang Virgin to ask about it, they said it was actually 101, which is the non-emergency police number. Apparently, their itemised billing system adds zeros after to make up the full digits, so it's legit and not some dodgy scam.

Virgin billed me 13p for a single minute call, even though I wasn’t home when the phone rang. Somehow, it showed the call was picked up, which is why the charge was made. I contacted Virgin and they confirmed it was actually a scam call.
