It’s quite astonishing that the police advise against using a free line, yet they have the audacity to charge for the alternative number, 101. It’s ridiculous that it’s not covered in any sort of unlimited minutes. What a rip-off! From this point on, I'll be dialling 999 instead, as a form of protest against having to pay for a service that’s meant to be free.

I noticed a charge of 13p on my Virgin landline bill for a call that I never actually made. I've not dialled that number at all, yet it's showing up as an outgoing call. Curious situation, if you ask me!

After calling the police on 101, I noticed a charge of 15p on my Virgin Media bill for the call. It seems that this is a fixed rate for however long you're on the line with the boys in blue. How marvellous, isn’t it? Cheers, Virgin Media, for hitting me with a bill for those supposedly ‘free’ numbers (0300, 101, and probably 111 too). What a lovely surprise!

I noticed a charge of 13p from this number on my Virgin bill. When I rang Virgin to ask about it, they said it was actually 101, which is the non-emergency police number. Apparently, their itemised billing system adds zeros after to make up the full digits, so it's legit and not some dodgy scam.

Virgin billed me 13p for a single minute call, even though I wasn’t home when the phone rang. Somehow, it showed the call was picked up, which is why the charge was made. I contacted Virgin and they confirmed it was actually a scam call.
