Phone number ☎️ 0099999999 👆 is reported as a persistently troublesome scam number linked to aggressive and deceptive cold calls. Callers often claim to represent well-known companies or government agencies, including Microsoft, BT, or insurance firms, and use fabricated issues like computer problems, internet security threats, or accident claims to coerce personal information or payments. Many complain about frequent daily calls, often silent or abusive when challenged, with some calls targeting vulnerable individuals such as the elderly. Attempts to block or report the number are frequently ineffective due to callers frequently changing numbers or hanging up abruptly. A strong recommendation is to ignore, not engage, and utilise call-blocking services while remaining vigilant against potential remote access scams or financial fraud.

0099999999 keeps ringing me like 3 times a day, always with Indian voices. I told them to take my number off their calling list. I even said it was the third time they called, but the guy kept saying it was the first time he’d ever called me. So frustrating.

This number rings me every morning but all I get is silence. Makes me think if websites like this aren’t run by the same creeps calling us. Honestly, these weirdos must get off on reading all our reactions. Like, they’ve got nothing better to do than to annoy or scare folks. I’m pretty sure they lurk here daily. So, whoever you are, you’re just pathetic and twisted!

I've had a fair few calls from this number, all of which insist they're reaching out regarding some supposed accident, asserting that my doctor has shared my information with them. Truth be told, I’ve never been in an accident! It’s perplexing, especially since I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and my number is ex-directory. I've always kept my landline details to myself, so it’s quite a mystery how they managed to get hold of it.

Got a call from number "0099999999" - looks like another scam. It was dead silent at first. I said "Hello", and the person on the line, with a German accent, said "You've been in an accident". I played along, answering all enthusiastic "Oh really?" He quickly ended the call, poor bloke couldn’t handle it. Honestly, what do they expect to achieve with these calls? I think the only solution is to get a phone that blocks unwanted numbers.

Asked him how he got my number since I’m ex-directory (he called himself Ron), his accent was Asian and quite rude and insistent. I kept asking, “What’s your number? Where did you get this from? Who gave it to you?” He said something about an insurance company and an accident. I didn’t give any details, just kept insisting, “Give me your number, where did you get this?” Then I told him I’m reporting him and he just hung up.

Got a call from 0099999999 around 8.09pm. I answered with a “Hello” but the person just dropped the call right away with no word. It’s pretty annoying to me, but I can imagine older or vulnerable folks might feel a bit scared by these kind of calls.

Number 0099999999 rang me on my ex-directory landline on 27th August 2015. The person on the other end had a really hard to understand accent. I asked them to speak up and they said something about my car accident. I asked where they found my number and then they just ended the call. Does anyone know which country they were calling from? I'm guessing it's a scam since I never had a car accident. What are the UK officials doing to stop this kinda thing?

I've received numerous calls from this number, all claiming that my computer licence has lapsed. Then they have the audacity to ring me back from this ridiculous number (0099999999). It’s become a bit of a game - I’ll answer just to hang up immediately. Proper annoying, isn’t it? Cheers, Big J!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady whose accent suggested she was of Asian descent. She claimed to represent BT and insisted that my Internet service was set to be interrupted for a couple of weeks. However, if I turned on my computer, she would provide guidance on how to rectify the situation. I informed her that I was actually a Virgin Media customer, but she rambled on about BT being the ‘parent’ company or some such nonsense. When I mentioned that I wasn’t at my computer, she offered to call back. Well, I’ve certainly got a few choice words prepared for her next time she rings!

Called at 6 in the evening - sounds like they’ve only just crawled out of their slumber!

Today, I received a call from this number, and surprisingly, they managed to get past my caller ID screening. The gentleman on the other end, who had a rather strong Indian accent, was quite difficult to understand. When I expressed my disinterest in his pitch, he became rather abrupt and impolite. I firmly instructed him not to ring me again!

Received two calls in quick succession, but I chose not to answer since the number showed up on my caller ID. I’m not inclined to respond, especially since no message was left behind. Quite dubious, if you ask me!

Received a couple of calls from this number today, 16th December 2014. The first one came through at around 11:20 in the morning, and then another followed at 1:44 PM. They were probing about any accidents I might have had in the last five years. I requested them to send me something in writing, and just like that, they ended the call. Definitely seems like yet another scam to me!

Received a barrage of calls-over ten in just five minutes! They claimed my computer had issues I wasn't even aware of. Kept telling them to stop calling, but it didn't seem to register. Eventually, I just stopped picking up, and they seemed to relent... at least for the time being.

Got a call from these lot claiming my computer was full of viruses. Then some "supervisor" asked me to open the run box and type in "go f#%k yourself" (seriously). He was pretty chuffed to throw insults my way. Shame they didn’t keep the call going longer, could’ve been a right laugh exchanging more abuse with these muppets.

I picked up a call from this number, 0099999999, and an Asian woman on the line claimed there was an issue with my computer. I quickly let her know that I didn’t even own a computer, and before I knew it, she had cut the call. Clearly, it's just a scam attempt.

Today at around 9 in the morning (08/12/2014), I got a call from this number by a lady with an Indian accent. She told me to switch on my computer because there were issues with my Windows and she could help fix it. When I asked if there was a charge, she said it was free. But nothing comes for free these days, so I just hung up. Does anyone know what kind of scam this might be?

I picked up the phone, but there was nobody on the other end. It’s not the first time this has occurred, either.

Got a call where the person said my name, then just cut off. The voice sounded Asian. Feels like nothing but harassment to me. Just a heads up, this happened on 28/10. Ive been getting nonstop bother from UK Habits lately.

Got two calls from some Asian call centre claiming to be a boiler replacement firm. They asked how old my boiler was. I told them I never share info over the phone and the bloke just hung up. Then he rang straight back saying he’d bet I’d spill the info. When I refused again, he said it was his “challenge” to get it out of me then hung up again. All this nonsense at 9pm! The guy sounded a bit aggressive and was quite rude. Definitely a scam.

Any idea who was ringing?

Just got a call on my home phone, they left a message but it was all muffled and I couldn’t make out what they were saying, sounded like an Asian accent. Not going to pick up if they call back.
