I picked up the phone early, before 9 in the morning, but all I could hear was some weird buzzing or static. There was nobody speaking on the other end.

Today, I received a call from this number, and as soon as the caller began to talk, I found myself unable to decipher what he was saying. When I questioned him about it, he simply hung up. It’s worth noting that this is the first instance of my receiving a call from this particular number.

My nan keeps getting calls from this same number about three times each day. She’s really poorly and has asked them several times to stop bothering her, but they just won’t quit. When I picked up the phone the next time they rang, I told the bloke to take her number off their list and to never call again. He actually said he’d keep ringing every day and then just hung up on me. This is totally unacceptable and needs to end immediately.

I’ve had loads of calls from someone claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC, but I kept telling them I use an Apple. I asked them to remove me from their list, and the bloke said it’d cost me £500. When I asked if that was some kind of threat, he actually said yes! Then I asked his name, and he said “Bill Gates”. I said, “Are you really threatening me? Should I ring the cops?” He said yes again! At that point, I just hung up.

Just got a call like that a moment ago. I asked the guy if the issue with my "Microsoft" was linked to some dodgy software they supposedly found on my computer. I joked about why this weird Apple logo kept showing up - was it because I’d ordered some fruit from Tesco online? When he claimed he could sort it out, I told him I’d just opened up my PC and was about to yank out the memory stick... then I made a right old racket pretending I’d been zapped by electricity!
