Some chap from India rang me, said his name was Alwin and claimed he was using a different number. He asked me to access my computer remotely, but I cut him off straight away!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. She told me that my IP address had been hacked by someone overseas. I quickly ended the call and rang BT myself on 150. They were really helpful and set up a free service to block all 00 numbers on my line.

Had a right old bother with a supposed BT scam the other day, claiming there was some ne'er-do-well trying to mess with my IP address. I just told them it was a load of nonsense! This was on the 7th of March, 2017.

Got a call from a guy with what sounded like an Indian accent, saying he was from BT’s tech team. He even named my address and asked for my name. I knew straight away it was dodgy, so I gave him a fake last name. After that, he said he was sorry to hear that. Then there was a long, awkward silence, so I just ended the call. These annoying calls from 0097838688 keep coming, and Plusnet does nothing to stop them. Seriously, it’s getting ridiculous!

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming my router was causing issues. When I asked him more questions, he just cut me off and ended the call.

I picked up and the person said hi and asked how I was. Then they wanted to know if they reached a business or personal phone. I asked who they were, and they said, 'I'm calling from next door.' I asked for more details, but they just kept saying the same thing and told me, 'I want to meet you.' At that point, I just ended the call.

I received a call about a BT router, just like others mentioned here. It sounded like it was from a call centre, with a lady who had what I think was an Indian accent, saying her name was Rebecca. I told her straight up she was fibbing and if she couldn’t provide my BT account number right away, I'd have to ring the police. Oddly enough, she just ended the call!

Received a call from someone saying he was James Williams, sounded like he had an Indian accent. Definitely seemed like he was calling from one of those call centres. He kept asking for a person who hasn't been linked to our number in ages. When I asked what the call was about or who he was, he wouldn’t really say much and ended up hanging up after we wouldn’t share any details.

Got a call claiming to be from BT saying my PC was infected, but it was clearly a scam. They were really pushy and kept ringing non-stop. The first person who called said her name was Sally and sounded Indian. Then within just five minutes, I got calls from Billy, Susan, and Fred as well. Proper annoying!

Got a call from some bloke called 'Sam' - sounded kinda like he might be from Pakistan or India - saying he was from BT and there’s issues with my router. Like, seriously, why is it always these same scammers ringing me up? I reckon he’s got a headache now, after I shouted down the phone at him proper loud!

I got loads of calls from someone claiming to be from BT saying my router was at risk. They told me if I didn’t visit this link [#]btnetwork.wixsite[###]/index and download something, they’d cut off my BT internet. I couldn't access the site or download anything anyway because of the strong security I have on my laptop. Don’t trust anyone saying they're a BT supervisor - it’s definitely not legit. He kept ringing over and over, and I just kept hanging up and even disconnected my internet for a bit to be safe.

This number keeps ringing me up saying my internet’s gone down for a day or two and I need to do stuff as they say. I asked them to send me an official BT email before I do anything, coz I’m not falling for scams. They promised it would arrive in a couple of hours, but I said that’s no good - I’d need the email straight away. After that, they just hung up on me.

Got a silent ring on 23rd May 2017, then after a bit, a robotic voice with a British accent just said "goodbye." Honestly, that kinda freaked me out. I ended up using BT 1571 to check the number. After looking up some reviews about it, I’m convinced this number could be quite dodgy.

I recently noticed a missed call from the number 0097-838688. When I took a look to see if they'd left a voicemail, all I found was a brief “goodbye.” I've gone ahead and blocked their number, so fingers crossed I won’t be bothered by any more annoying calls. I've also reported the number to the Telephone Preference Service to hopefully put an end to it.

Today, I got a call from a guy with a European accent claiming he was from BT. He told me our internet would be cut off for a couple days, and then asked me to switch on my computer to perform some kind of fix. That felt a bit dodgy, so I said I was already on my way out and couldn’t do it then. But he kept pushing, which made me even more suspicious, so I told him to ring back later. When I looked up his number, loads of people had reported it as a scam. Big thanks to the who-called[###][###] site for helping people spot these dodgy callers trying to scam us.

Got a call from some bloke with a weird accent, claiming to be from BT. He said my internet was under attack and they had to shut it off for a few days to fix it.
