I got a weird message on WhatsApp saying my card was blocked, but there wasn’t even a bank name anywhere. How am I supposed to think it's legit? The English was really bad too. It said something like "dear customer your aim card has been blocked because the data hasn’t been updated yet" and then rambled on about some security department in Qatar. The message was full of jumbled words and random symbols, which made it even more suspicious. Plus, the phone number looked official but I’m not taking any chances with messages like this!

There’s no legit website involved here, just some idiot fishing for your info so they can empty your bank.

Got a message like that yesterday too. Seemed like a massive phishing scam, throwing around CID, Security Bank and no real link there. Best not to respond at all.

Got a message on WhatsApp from someone saying they're from the bank's security team in Qatar, telling me my ATM card was blocked. I've got no accounts with any bank there. I didn’t ring them back, but I imagine if I had, they'd want my bank info or something. Total scam, I reckon.
