Strange!9 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be part of "Alumni Y," which turns out to be a total con. I looked them up and the website was basically empty, nothing to see at all. I guess they find your details from somewhere like Facebook or LinkedIn if you applied to a uni alumni group. Then they ring you and ask for a hefty fee - like $588 - for a lifetime membership in some so-called "global universities network." They called me on Tuesday (03/10/2017) and were really pushing me to hand over my credit card info.
