Got a call from 00818013552427 around 14:48 on 05/07/2023. It was a recorded male voice saying that there were two big withdrawals from my account. They said to press 1 if I approved them or 2 to chat with the bank’s fraud team. I chose 2 and then some Asian woman came on asking for my full name and date of birth. I ended the call straight away as it felt dodgy. Really risky - don’t get involved with these scammers.

Classic Visa fraud call - a bloke with a British accent, sounds all official, tells you there’s been loads of transactions on your Visa. If you hit 1 or 2, you end up speaking to some crook (sounds like he might be from Asia) trying to con you out of your cash.

This is a scam. To help stop scams and dodgy calls, everyone should report them. You can text the number and info about the call to 7726. When enough people report a number, the network providers will mark it as suspicious. Don’t report legit business numbers though. Scam texts can also be forwarded to 7726. Plus, if you get scam emails or get screen grabs of scammy texts with dodgy links or attachments, send them to '[email protected]'. If the scammer has your bank info, tell your bank straight away and also report it to the police on 03001232040.

Got a voicemail on my landline about an hour after my phone got nicked. Got a robo call claiming to be from my bank, but they never said which one. Said there had been strange activity on my account today. Something about £200 spent on Amazon and a foreign transfer of more than £1000. Definitely a SCAM!

They claimed to be my bank, saying there was some weird activity on my accounts and asked if I wanted to look into it. Press 1942 they said. Totally a scam for sure.

I got a call from this number around 9:27 this morning. I had a hunch it might be a scam, so I decided to ignore it.

Got a robocall claiming to be from my bank sayin there was some suspicious charges, like £200 from Amazon and £1100, said press 2 if it was me or 1 to talk to someone. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call from a number I didnt know. Fortunately I wasnt near the phone and didnt pick up. No voicemail was left either. I checked the number on this site and turns out it was a dodgy caller. Ive blocked it now.

Got a robo call claiming to be from "Bank security" warning me about two withdrawals, one for £200 and another for £1100, saying the bigger one was an 'international transfer to Mexico'. I just hung up straight away. The number begins with 009, which I think is Nigeria's code. Maybe they’ve run out of those classic scams about princes kicking the bucket and leaving you a fortune if you share your bank info?

This call was definitely a bank fraud attempt. Be careful and don’t give out any info!

I saw the number pop up and noticed it start with "..." which looked super weird since it was such a long string, so I decided not to answer. After reading through these comments, I’m guessing loads of others might get the same call soon. Pretty sure this is just some kind of scam.

Got a call on the 26th of May 2023. Thankfully, I use an answering service so the scammer didn’t get a chance to talk to me.

In the past hour, I’ve gotten about four calls from various numbers all saying the same thing about money being taken from my bank account. Honestly, there’s no money left anyway, so it’s probably just a scam.

Just wanted to share that I've received a couple of calls within the last 48 hours regarding a deduction of £1000 from my account for Tesco, along with another £1000 linked to Mexico. Quite concerning, to say the least!

I just got a dodgy call pretending to be from my bank, insisting that I press 1 or 2 if I'd spent a grand at Tescos or transferred a thousand quid to Mexico. What a right cheek!

Got a call with some bloke’s voice talking about my bank saying there was, like, 2 card transactions and a big transfer over £1100 going to Mexico. Total scam obvious from the start!
