I tried to nicely tell him they were working remotely and that I could pass on a message, but couldnt connect him directly. He then got really frustrated and irritated, muttered something I couldnt make out before he just hung up.

Pretty sure it was some kind of third party market research group that a bunch of companies hire. The caller said they were calling for Microsoft, didn’t ask any personal stuff but seemed to know the type of business we’re in. The call dragged on forever and I just lost patience, ended up wasting about 20 minutes. Should’ve really watched the time better, dumb of me.

Really pushy and nasty, then just hung up on me - here’s a tip for these muppets. If you’re after the boss next time, at least explain why you’re calling. Hanging up like that just makes you seem shady, which I’m guessing you probably are. Total tossers.

A bloke called me saying he was doing a survey on our business. It felt a bit off after a minute or two when he started asking about gear and supplies in the pub. Best to just ignore and not carry on with it.

Never said their name or where they were from. Rang my job number sayin they were conductin a survey about IT stuff. Took ages and was pretty weird when they asked about our average turnover startin at eight hundred million or whatever. Totally just ignore it!

Got a call from an Indian guy with a thick accent asking me to join some survey. When I said I wasn’t really up to it, he didn’t seem happy. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I cut him off before he could say more.

Some bloke from India with a really bad German accent kept ringing me, trying to get me to take part in a survey about a famous computer company, acting like it was an official survey. I checked with the company's rep and turns out it was coming from [#][#]action-edge[###] Automated dialler. Do yourself a favour and block this number!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Action Edge, asking if I could do a quick survey. They rang me twice. The first time, they claimed they got my number from our main office, but when I rang there, they said they had no clue. The second call came about two hours later, and this time they said they'd got the number from another branch after helping with a survey. After a short talk to warn them off, we got our IT team to step in and block the number.

Some bloke named Mukash Kumar kept ringing our office line over and over, asking for different staff members by name. Said he was from a company called EA or something, supposedly linked to Action Aid. He just wouldn’t stop calling and ignored all our refusals.

Just recently, I've been inundated with a staggering 30 phone calls over the past couple of days. The callers claimed I was involved in some sort of IT Microsoft Hybrid Research. They expressed gratitude and then proceeded to inquire about something. Naturally, I informed them that I’ve never taken part in any such research and have no clue what they were after. After a moment of confusion on their end, they apologised, and that was that. Honestly, the relentless nature of these calls is beyond irritating-up to 20 times a day! It’s absolutely infuriating. What on earth possesses them to harass people like this? Truly barmy behaviour!
