Got a missed call while I was out and saw the number on my caller ID later. I looked it up on this site like I usually do, then tried to add it to the blacklist on BT’s free Caller Protect. But for some reason, it wouldn’t accept the number and kept saying it wasn’t valid. The code looks like it’s from Turkey, judging by the international dialling prefix, but BT’s form just wouldn’t take it. Typical BT, half-baked features that make you do all the legwork yourself. For now, I’ve just blocked all international calls to see if this number or any others like it pop up again.

Today at about 1:05pm, this person said they were from BT. I mentioned I’d already dealt with calls like this before and asked BT to send me a letter instead. Then, they just hung up.

Some bloke rang saying he was from the US, but his voice was awful and sounded totally Asian. He kept insisting we log in to our computer. Then he got really mad and started swearing. We ended up hanging up, and he tried calling back, but once we hung up again, he didn't ring us anymore.

Somebody with an Asian accent called me, saying they were from BT and that there was a problem with my internet. I knew straight away it was a scam, so I just pretended to go along with it to waste their time. After a while, they got frustrated and hung up on me when they saw I wasn’t falling for it.

Had another call from someone saying they were “Daniel” from BT. As soon as I said I wasn’t interested, he just hung up. Tried ringing back the number he used but, no surprise, it went straight to voicemail. I sent him a message explaining exactly what I wanted to do to the coward who keeps phoning me. Reported the whole thing to BT, but honestly, I’m not holding my breath that they’ll sort it out. Feels like these scammers either have access to BT’s system or they’re passing around private customer info.

I got two calls from a bloke who said his name was Mark Wilson, sounded like he had an Indian accent. The first call came through on 02032872062, then another came from a number starting with 00907. He claimed he was from BT’s tech team and insisted I log into my computer and follow his steps. I basically told him to say a common two-word phrase differently. Haven’t heard from him since then.

For the last week or so, I keep getting calls from two different people, one bloke and one woman, neither sounding British. They ring me loads of times every day, sometimes as early as 8 in the morning, which is super annoying. It's the exact same thing every time. Seriously, how is this scam still running after all this time?

I’m sick of getting these dodgy calls from overseas, so I just don’t pick up anymore. I’m ex-directory and never had bother with calls like this before, but now it’s like every single day. Definitely a scam, watch out. I got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying my BT account was compromised. They tried to trick me into logging into my Amazon, eBay and bank accounts. These scammers are really low - they’ve got no morals. I’m convinced they’ll face consequences eventually, whether karma catches up with them or their families suffer because of what they do. Maybe then they’ll regret being so nasty.

I got calls from the same number three times this week, but I only picked up once - the other two times they just dropped the line. My phone's been acting up lately, so I wasn't expecting much. Got about two or three calls from this number in just half an hour, with the caller ID showing it as some international number. Every time I picked up, there was a quick pause - like a second of hold music - and then the call just ended. So, I wasted no time and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT. I told him my number’s on the TPS list (you can look it up) so he shouldn’t be ringing me. He just brushed it off with a "that’s irrelevant" and started going through some dodgy spiel like I’d actually fall for it. I ended the call straight away. Definitely not BT. Classic scammer move. Got a call from someone speaking with a thick Indian accent who said they were from BT. They told me my internet had some problems and said I just needed to connect my PC and check my 'computer licence' to sort it out. They also said they already had some info and would verify it once my computer was on. When I asked what exactly the 'licence' was, they cut the call right away. Afterwards, I used 1471 and found out the number they called from.
