I got a call from someone who used a weird mix of parts of my first and last name, which is weird because it wasn't exactly either. They also greeted me with "Good Evening" even though it was the middle of the day! The person spoke with an Asian accent and the connection was really poor, so pretty obvious they weren’t local.

These calls come from scammers in India. If you answer, they somehow find out and then bombard your phone with calls non stop. Better to just not pick up at all.

I’ve had four calls so far from someone claiming to be with BT. The initial call was about my internet being hacked and that they needed to cut it off for a fortnight. I got suspicious, ended the call, and phoned BT myself. They confirmed it was a scam and not anything to do with them. Today, when I got another call and mentioned I had already talked to BT, the caller just hung up straight away.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Talk Talk’s tech support, warning me my internet would be cut off in a couple of days. When I asked why, they mentioned something about illegal interference. They told me to switch on my PC and that they’d guide me through fixing it. I just said, "Yeah right, I’m not falling for that" and ended the call. Even though I knew it was a scam, these kinds of calls really annoy and upset me.

A guy called me and said he was with Talktalk, called me by my name too. He said my internet would be cut off in an hour because someone from abroad had hacked my line. I asked if just my line was affected and how long it'd be offline. Then he told me he had to take a call from his boss and asked me to wait. I didn't hang about tho, just ended the call.

some woman rang claiming to be janet from talk talk, but when i asked her to give me her number, she just hung up. this is the fourth dodgy call ive had this morning, and i’m registered with tps! ive had to keep blocking the numbers they show up on. its getting ridiculous how many scam calls are going around. why don’t the phone companies work together and make a universal blocklist to stop these calls once and for all?

This number has rung me twice earlier today. I couldn’t pick up the first time, but when I did answer the second call, it was a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from TalkTalk, asking for whoever handles the payments. I didn’t bother continuing and just ended the call. I keep getting loads of calls like this from various numbers, all supposedly from TalkTalk, mostly about internet issues. It’s really starting to get on my nerves.
