I picked it up and switched it to speaker mode. There was silence, followed by a recorded voice saying 'Goodbye'! Quite courteous, I must admit!

Got a call from this number, looks like it’s from India. I’m not really a fan of BT normally, but their call blocking service is brilliant. Calls like this never ring through, we only spot the missed call on the log, showing it was automatically stopped.

I received a call from a company called National Green Energy and it felt just like one of those Indian call centres. I was attempting to gather some information, but in the end, I just hung up on them.

Twice in one hour this number rang me, but I ignored it both times. It really annoys me that there’s no way to block these annoying calls.

Got a call today about some Government Energy Grants. Wasn't really interested so I just ended the call straight away.

Got another call from the same number less than a couple hours ago. There was nothing but silence so I’m pretty sure it’s one of those fishing calls. I’ve decided that now whenever I pick up and hear no voice after a few seconds, I’m just gonna put the phone down. These callers are such a right nuisance.

I’ve been trying to block this annoying number on BT but it keeps saying it’s not a valid number. I even switched up the country code since it’s definitely not from China, India, Russia or Hong Kong. Does anyone know what else I could try?

Got a call but no one said a word. What’s the deal with that?

First, I got a call from one unknown number that just showed up as blank. Then, less than half an hour later, an international number rang me, also with no caller ID. Weirdly, another different mystery number called shortly after that, again with no details. These sorts of silent calls are really getting annoying nowadays, but I reckon if enough people keep flagging them and adding them to the databases, hopefully they’ll get banned or slapped with fines sooner rather than later.

Just got a call around midday from someone who said it was to do with the government and something about heating. The voice sounded like a lady from Asia. I told her I wasn’t interested and quickly ended the call.

Got two calls, one right after the other and the first one was from abroad. I didnt pick up either time. Both times there was no voicemail, just some weird static noise. Total pest.

I got a call from some folks saying they were with National Green Energy over in Birmingham. The people on the phone had Indian accents. They somehow found out my full name and where I live. I wouldn’t share my date of birth, but when they asked for a password, I gave it - though it was only a code I use for calls like this. Looking back, I think they might’ve been trying to get into my pension credit info.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, she spoke excellent English and was talking about some energy grants. I managed to cut her off quickly. Best to stay clear of this number and don’t bother with it.

Got a call about some government scheme for changing the boiler, but they made it clear you need to be on benefits to qualify. My hubby kept them going just to waste their time. They asked about the age of our radiators, and when we said about 20 years, the person just dropped the call!
