I didn’t get a call, it was actually a letter with that phone number on it. It said someone with the same last name had passed away and left no will, so apparently there’s over 8 million dollars to split. Honestly, I just threw the letter straight in the bin.

got a letter from some bloke called James Tang, his email was tangsemaj@gmaill### and phone number 008528 1914049. he’s been sending letters to older folks who are quite vulnerable, claiming they have the same name as someone involved in a terrible accident. in the letter, he tells them to keep everything secret and mentions splitting some inheritance 50/50. then he wants them to get in touch with him - i’m guessing next he’ll ask for their bank details to send over the cash, but we all know it’s probably just a scam. be careful out there!

I never dialled 00852 81914019, but it seems linked to a person named James Pang from Ping - An Bank Ltd in Hong Kong. They claimed I could be the only beneficiary of some estate where a person has died recently. They gave an email address pangsmme@gmailf###], which I didn’t get in touch with. The offer was to share the funds equally (50/50), which sounds very dodgy to me.

I didn't get a call, but rather a letter from "Hong Kong" saying someone with my last name had died in a crash over in China. Apparently there was no will and I could be entitled to a share of the inheritance - luck was definitely on my side!
