Some woman with an accent that sounded Indian phoned me, claiming to be from 'UK Life Insurance'. She went on about me having life insurance policies with Legal & General and Aviva, which is total rubbish. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to fish for info, so I told her I’d report the call. I've since blocked the number using 1572.

Got a call from someone saying it was about my life insurance, but wouldn’t say which company they were from. Just started rattling off names of popular insurers. They had a strong foreign accent and the phone line was really crackly. I told them they were breaking the law by ringing me up like that.

Somebody named Gloria rang me, said she was with some sort of energy saving program. I've gone and blocked the number now.

Received a call that was completely silent and then it disconnected after about ten seconds. Quite odd!

This afternoon, I received a call from a gentleman with an Asian accent claiming to be from some sort of energy company. I decided to hang up on him.

I got a call from a woman with a foreign accent, saying I could get a new heating system. I joked if they had something for cooling instead since it's nearly 30 degrees here, and she just hung up on me really abruptly. Honestly, these callers are such muppets.

Got a call from a lady with a foreign accent who introduced herself as ‘Linda.’ She claimed to be from the Government’s free boiler replacement programme. I told her my boiler’s fine and that I wasn’t interested, then ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier, there was some faint background noise, sounded like it was coming from an office, then it just went quiet. I ended the call straight away. Happy to have found this site so I could look it up - never going to ring back these types of numbers.

Today, around a quarter to three, I received a call from someone who sounded like they were from the Indian subcontinent, but their command of English left much to be desired. They claimed that my heating system was outdated and that I qualified for a complimentary upgrade. It was obviously a scam, but I decided to entertain them for a bit. They assured me they were representing some government entity-Energy Support Council, or something along those lines. In the end, they concluded that I wasn't eligible, as I didn't receive any government benefits. Oh, how I'd love for us to put a stop to these nuisances!

Got a call from this number right at lunch time, around 1:15, but when I picked up no one was on the line. I stayed on for a little while but eventually just ended the call. Bit creepy really.

I reckon it was some kind of scam, the moment my answer machine kicked in, they just dropped the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

These folks keep giving us a bell every single day now. I'm quite perplexed as to who they are and what on earth they want from us. This number doesn’t match any friends or family members we know. Any tips on how to stop these calls once and for all?
