So, this bloke from UK Savers Club, which apparently is just another name for Verso Group doing telemarketing, called me. He asked this Indian guy how he planned on paying for my replies, which left him proper baffled. When I told him my answers were worth something to them, especially since they pay him to ring and ask stuff, he still didn’t want to pay up. This went on until he just hung up on me.

I got a call yesterday afternoon but the voice was really faint and hard to hear. Then they rang back later in the evening claiming we’d had a chat before, saying I was too busy to talk. I received a call from an Indian gentleman inquiring about my elderly grandmother, then my grandfather. I mentioned that she was currently in the hospital and that he had my grandad’s hearing issues. When I pressed him for his identity, asking "No, who are you?" he identified himself as being from some 'savers club'. He then requested my name and postal code, to which I firmly replied, "I don’t wish for you to contact me or my grandparents again, so I would appreciate you removing their details from your list." He assured me he would comply, but after reading through some earlier comments, I’m absolutely convinced that the little scoundrel will try his luck again. I've now advised my grandfather to simply hang up if he gets any further calls. It really irks me! These callers are an absolute nuisance to society!

Got a call from a guy with quite an Asian accent, really hard to catch what company he was from, but after reading some of the other comments, looks like it was 'Savers Club'. He kept wanting to ask me some questions, but I kept having to ask him to say it again and where exactly he was calling from. The next time he tried with the questions, I just said 'nah, probably not' and then he just ended the call. Pretty funny!

Got a call from some Asian guy, he said hello a couple of times. I had my answerphone on so he should've realised it wasn’t a live person, but nope, clueless! Total scam, don’t get caught out. If you do pick up, just be polite, say no thanks and put the phone down straight away.

I'm all too familiar with the irritation of pesky phone calls. I've attempted to explain in a measured tone that I find them less than entertaining. I've even resorted to raising my voice, but that only leads to further frustration. I’ve tried just putting the phone down without formally ending the call, which really isn’t enjoyable at all. It seems that by the time I answer, they’ve already disconnected, leaving another poor soul to be disturbed. Though we are registered on the telephone preference service, I've heard it's only meant for calls within the UK. I was quite preoccupied earlier, so I let the phone ring before dialling 1471 to identify the number. Typically, such nuisance calls come up as withheld, so I felt compelled to look into the number they left. Having typed this out has helped me offload some of my irritation, but as someone who operates from home, I find myself now 20 minutes behind on my work. It's incredibly frustrating!

Every day, we’re hounded by this bloke who claims to be called James, Justin, or Magnus-he seems to fancy himself with these posh-sounding names, all whilst putting on an accent that’s clearly not his own! He’s ringing from “The Savings Club,” or so he says. Honestly, it’s getting a bit old now! I’ve already told him to sod off and not to bother us again, but I just know it won’t be the last we hear from him. Cheers!

I received a call from this number just now. Echoing what others have said, the person on the line had an Indian accent. I frequently get these types of calls; they are consistently very courteous and affable, yet it's clear there's some sort of trickery involved. Often, I toy with them for a bit, just to occupy their time as they do mine, but more often than not, I simply hang up. Interestingly, whenever my voicemail kicks in, they never leave a message, which pretty much confirms they're not authentic. A real caller would definitely drop you a message.

I had a couple of unsolicited calls recently-one at 19:24 last night and another at 16:55 today. It appears to be something to do with a Savers club or some such. I’ve done my bit and signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, but it doesn’t seem to make a blind bit of difference. I wouldn’t be surprised if these calls are coming from abroad. It’s rather bothersome, especially since I’m trying to rest and recover after my surgery.
