Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying theyd send me an iPhone for £399 today. They said if I didnt want it I should press 1 to talk to an agent. I just hung up cause it sounded fishy. Took a look at my bank and everything was fine. Going to label that number as a scam and just ignore it next time it rings.

This number rang me twice today. I picked up but didn’t say anything and just hung up. Seems like another fake Amazon call like one I got a few weeks back saying my account was overdue and they’d take money by direct debit, which I knew was rubbish. Gave them a piece of my mind after that. Had a quick look at my bank account just to be sure.

This seems like a wangiri scam. Make sure to report every call to Action Fraud - there’s a link on their site. I reckon most of these calls come from Russia but are passed through Tonga first. The police really need all the info on these scams, so don’t hesitate to report them.
