12 monthsOn 2nd July 2025, about 11:45 in the morning, I got a random text from +63 961 635 5181. It looked like some sort of scam, totally dodgy. The message claimed to be from the Department for Transport, warning me about an unpaid traffic fine. It said if I didn’t pay by 3rd July, they’d start penalties on the 4th. Threatened to suspend my driving license and vehicle registration, slap on a 35% service charge, and even mentioned possible prosecution and credit score damage.
