Received a call from this number at precisely 11:21 this morning. They didn’t leave a voicemail, which suggests it wasn’t anything vital. I’ve promptly added it to my block list on my brilliant BT8500 truecall device. I genuinely can’t sing the praises of these nuisance-blocking phones enough!

My parents got a call from this number, and some Filipino woman wanted to talk to Mr (X). When my mum asked who she was, the woman claimed to be Mr (X)'s wife! Mum, being clever but a bit puzzled, replied that Mr (X) was at work and surely she'd know that if she was his wife? Then this woman started acting like she was crying, saying she had to speak to her husband because he’d been lying to her for years! I’ve come across loads of spam or scam calls before, but this one really left me thinking, what on earth was that about?!

Is TPS actually working or just pretending? Got another call from this same number that just ended without a word, leaving me with nothing but the ringing sound. It’s beyond annoying, it’s proper frustrating. I worry about how many older folks are getting scammed by these calls. Can’t someone block this number from phoning people across the UK? It’s about time something was done.

Tried calling me today but no luck getting through. I've also been getting loads of calls from 0288 numbers - reckon they're fake too. Honestly, I’m considering ditching the landline altogether. At least with mobiles, you can tell if it’s a private or real number showing up.
