I received a call from an Australian number, but to be honest, I don't really have any mates or family abroad. So, I'm convinced that whoever was on the other end hasn't got a clue who I am. It gives me a bit of a uneasy feeling, and I can’t shake the thought that this number could be a bit dodgy.

I got a recorded call pretending to be from Amazon, saying an iPhone worth £399 was ordered on my account, and if it wasn’t me, press 1. When I did, I was connected to a man with an Indian accent who started asking what gadgets I owned. That’s when I realised it was a scam and just hung up. He rang back a few times, quite pushy. I told him outright that he was trying to phish and to stop calling me. Afterwards, I checked my Amazon profile and credit card, and luckily, no purchases or charges showed up. Just a heads up, watch out for these dodgy calls!
