Got a call from some bloke claiming his name was James, but sounded like a dodgy Asian guy. Seemed a bit off to me.

Got a call from an Asian bloke saying there’d been a car crash, total scam. I just put the phone down straight away and reported it to the ICO - you can do it at https:/ico.org.uk/for-the-public. The new GDPR rules should help cut down on these scams, but it’s always worth reporting them anyway, takes barely a minute.

the second i answered with a hello they just hung up on me.

got a call from a guy with an asian accent who said he was from manchester, he was asking if anyone at this number had been in an accident. it was a bit weird and after a while, i kept asking him where he got the details from but he just tried to make me admit to an accident that never happened. after some time he just gave up. definitely felt like a scam to me.

some bloke called me claiming to be jack from some car accident investigation team, said it was about my accident. i told him i’ve had no accident and never asked for a call, asked nicely to take my info off their list. then i just hung up. let’s wait and see what happens next.

Got a call about accident claims, and they pretended to be a legit UK company. They’re definitely not who they say they are. Best not to share any details with them.

It was something about a crash probe, but the call got cut off pretty fast.
