Got a call from someone claiming there was an issue with my computer. I told them I don’t actually own a computer and they just ended the call straight away.

So this bloke rang up saying he was from the IT department, claiming there were errors showing up on my Windows PC. I’d already fired up a Windows XP virtual machine, hit Windows+R and typed eventvwr. He kept passing me between a few ‘tech supervisors’ who were totally baffled about the difference between XP and newer versions like Windows 7 or 10. They asked me to check for errors, which I said weren’t there, but then he wanted me to scroll through to find some anyway. I started reading out a few error messages, he asked if I knew what they meant, I said yes, and then he just hung up on me. Might seem pointless, but if they’re wasting their time, maybe it’s worth it - hopefully they’ll get the hint after a while. Proper laugh, honestly!

Got a call at 8:05 in the morning, seriously annoying to ring that early. I just let it go to voicemail, couldn't be bothered to pick up.

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my PC. They asked me to turn it on and do as they said. I just told them to buzz off, but without actually saying those exact words.

On 06/10/2015, they rang me like 4 times between like 8:30 in the morning and just gone 1:30 in the afternoon. I’m pretty sure they were gonna try again around 5 or 6 in the evening too. Honestly, I'm getting so annoyed with it all.

This number rings me a bunch, like sometimes four times daily. I’ve got one of those BT8500 call blockers and it never manages to get past it, so I’m guessing the calls are some kinda automated thing.
