Just got a call outta nowhere from some bloke doing a survey about CCTV alarm systems. He spoke with a local accent which was a bit surprising. Managed to hang up on him, but I did mention I already have an alarm (though it’s not monitored). Looks like I’ll have to sort out CCTV on my own and maybe get the existing system monitored properly.

Just to give an update - right after I hung up, the phone buzzed again. No one picked up and I couldn't hear anything either. After a short moment it stopped ringing and went back to the usual dial tone. I dialled 1471 to check the last number and that’s when I spotted this really long number, but I didn’t bother calling it back. Looks like it might be from Brazil or somewhere like that?
