Dont fall for this, got a call from 1212840625 saying I should get in touch with Lisa Williams at HMRC about some claim against me thats urgent and time sensitive. They said if I didnt call back I would end up paying more. If HMRC was actually after money, im pretty sure they would send a letter not call like this. Its just a dodgy scam trying to scare pensioners. Best to just block and ignore them!

I just got a call from a woman asking if I was Mrs Smith, I said no. She then said she wanted to ask about being a homeowner. I asked where she got my number from and she claimed it was from some 'publicly available database'. When I pressed for whose database it was, she just ended the call!

I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night and just as I was about to grab the one hour I had left to rest, these calls came through! Nobody said a word then the line just cut off. I’m proper annoyed. If they call again, they’ll be getting a mouthful from me (and I’m usually pretty calm). Got a call today from a bloke who said he was with BT internet tech support. Sounded like he was from London too. He told me his name was Nick Shaw and gave this ID number - BT583095. Also mentioned some address down Newgate Street, London EC1A7AZ. Seemed a bit fishy, possibly a scam from an Indian guy pretending to be BT.

I got a call at 11:50 in the morning on 25th September 2017. Some bloke with an Indian accent said he was from BT London, giving the name Nick Shaw. He claimed to be a BT staff member and even gave a number, BT583095, but I’m pretty sure it was a dodgy internet scam.

It's quite disheartening that they're not keen on continuing the phone game. I was all set to have a natter and mess about a bit, seeing as I had some spare time on my hands. Then I chose the option to get a callback and made them say exactly who they were. Turns out Green Deal Funding isn't a company at all, just a government scheme that's been scrapped now.

Got a silent call earlier. I reckon spammers are smart these days, maybe checking if you have call answering services and then switching to throwaway numbers to dodge them.

I've had this number ring me a bunch of times lately. I've got caller ID, so if it's someone I don't know, I just don’t pick up. If they don’t leave a voicemail, then I’m not bothering with the call. Usually, decent folks leave a message saying who they are and why they’re calling. People are getting clever with call blockers now though. You can't block things like ‘Out Of Area’ texts or calls. Honestly, best just to ignore it when it shows up.

Got a call earlier from an unfamiliar number, didn’t answer it as I didn’t know who it was. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either. Bit odd, really.

Put this number straight on my block list with BT since it called twice and no one said anything. You can do this through BT call protect. Definitely check it out if the calls come through late or when you don’t want to be disturbed!

This number 005354990512 rang me at 7.40pm this evening but I didnt answer and they never left a voicemail. Honestly, I wish these callers would just stop bothering us! Feels like a real breach of my privacy.

This number keeps ringing me like 3 or 4 times every day, even after 9 at night quite often. I thought being on TPS and ex-directory with BT would stop this. Not sure where they got hold of my number since I hardly share it. They never leave a voicemail either, so I’ve just blocked it now.

This service is really handy and I check numbers here all the time to avoid annoying calls but still answer important ones. Honestly, I also assumed this was from Cuba at first.

They ring me up nearly every evening at about 8.40pm. Honestly, once I can sort it out, I’m ditching the home phone. It’s just not a service I want anymore. The only things I ever get on this number are these quiet calls.

Got a call at 12:02 this afternoon from a number I didn’t recognise. I didn’t answer it and when I checked the voicemail, there was nothing left. My old phone doesn’t let me block numbers, but lucky I’ve got Caller ID so I just ignore calls from unknown numbers.

I just checked and it turns out the number's from Cuba. They rang me about 7.45 in the evening - bit cheeky of them calling so late, really!
