I’ve just received a rather dubious call from this number 1212840625, claiming I need to get in touch with someone named Lisa Williams regarding a supposed claim on my name. They made it sound urgent, warning of escalating costs if I didn’t respond. Honestly, if HMRC were genuinely after unpaid tax, I reckon they’d send an official letter first, not leave cryptic messages. It’s disgraceful how these scoundrels target vulnerable folks, especially the elderly. Best to steer clear of these con artists!

I just got a call from a woman asking if I was Mrs Smith, I said no. She then said she wanted to ask about being a homeowner. I asked where she got my number from and she claimed it was from some 'publicly available database'. When I pressed for whose database it was, she just ended the call!

I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night and just as I was about to grab the one hour I had left to rest, these calls came through! Nobody said a word then the line just cut off. I’m proper annoyed. If they call again, they’ll be getting a mouthful from me (and I’m usually pretty calm). Received a dubious phone call that I suspect might be a scam pretending to be from BT's technical support. An Indian gentleman, introducing himself as Nick Shaw, claimed he was reaching out from their London office. He provided some employee number, BT583095, and mentioned an address: 81 Newgate Street, London, EC1A7AZ. Quite concerning!

That number is linked to "UK Preferences" too. Some bloke called 'Harry' with an Asian accent gave me a bell at 9am while I was still in bed, enjoying my retirement lie-in. It's quite disheartening that they're not keen on continuing the phone game. I was all set to have a natter and mess about a bit, seeing as I had some spare time on my hands. They give me a ring about three times a week, at the least. My advice? Don't divulge any personal details. A bit of cheeky fun comes from throwing in a random response to their questions or answering the second one before the first! It soon seems to frustrate them and they end up hanging up. Received a phone call at eight o'clock on a Sunday night. It was a pre-recorded spiel about upgrading my windows to some fantastic energy-saving ones or other. I stuck it out until the very end of the message, refusing to hang up until I was disconnected, just to keep them from harassing the next poor soul! At the conclusion of the call, they offered me the option to press 5 for more details or 9 to halt any future contact. The phone just rang, and upon dialling 1471, I discovered I had received a call from 005354990512 - a number I don't recognise. It's become quite the nuisance, as I’ve received numerous calls today from various other unknown numbers that seem rather dodgy. I’m really fed up with all these mysterious callers. I’m even contemplating the idea of switching my phone number entirely; perhaps that would throw them off!

I didn't get a response when I rang, and when I checked with 1471, it indicated the call was disconnected. I attempted to reach out again, but still no luck. I'm beginning to wonder if I should have even bothered.

Got a silent call earlier. I reckon spammers are smart these days, maybe checking if you have call answering services and then switching to throwaway numbers to dodge them.

I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly. I make use of caller ID, so if the number is unfamiliar, I simply ignore it. If there's no voicemail left, I have zero interest in engaging. Generally, folks who have something worthwhile to say will leave a message explaining who they are and what it's regarding. It seems they've adapted to call-blocking technology as well. You can't really block vague identifiers like 'Out Of Area'. In instances like these, it's best to just refrain from answering.

Put this number straight on my block list with BT since it called twice and no one said anything. You can do this through BT call protect. Definitely check it out if the calls come through late or when you don’t want to be disturbed!

This number 005354990512 rang me at 7.40pm this evening but I didnt answer and they never left a voicemail. Honestly, I wish these callers would just stop bothering us! Feels like a real breach of my privacy.

This number keeps ringing me like 3 or 4 times every day, even after 9 at night quite often. I thought being on TPS and ex-directory with BT would stop this. Not sure where they got hold of my number since I hardly share it. They never leave a voicemail either, so I’ve just blocked it now.

This service is really handy and I check numbers here all the time to avoid annoying calls but still answer important ones. Honestly, I also assumed this was from Cuba at first.

They ring me up nearly every evening at about 8.40pm. Honestly, once I can sort it out, I’m ditching the home phone. It’s just not a service I want anymore. The only things I ever get on this number are these quiet calls.

Got a call at 12:02 this afternoon from a number I didn’t recognise. I didn’t answer it and when I checked the voicemail, there was nothing left. My old phone doesn’t let me block numbers, but lucky I’ve got Caller ID so I just ignore calls from unknown numbers.

I did a bit of digging and it turns out the call was from Cuba. They rang me at 7:45 in the evening, which is rather cheeky of them to be ringing at such a late hour!
