Got a call from 00499-115-984-771 but no one said a word on the other end. Turned out it's one of those scams where they pretend to be from Sky or internet companies. Later, about 15 minutes after, I got another call from 0049-343-622-237. I just left it ringing, figured it was another dodgy call, plus that number doesn’t show up on any lists anywhere. This kind of rubbish really should be stopped.

Some bloke called Kevin rang me claiming he was from Microsoft. He kept telling me to switch on my computer which I ignored. He wouldn’t shut up and kept going on and on. I hung up but he rang straight back again. Then he started saying our computer was about to get locked and asked if we were helping hackers or something. I looked up the number and now I’m here writing this.

Received a call from this number earlier. As soon as I picked up, the call just dropped straight away. I reckon it’s one of those call centre systems that auto-dials and only puts you through if an agent’s free - otherwise they just cut the line. That’s probably what went down here. I don’t have Sky and Virgin Media usually call from UK numbers, so no idea why this one’s German. From reading other comments, seems like there’s been a recent data breach since loads of folks started getting these calls a few days ago. Best to just block the number.

On Wednesday 12th January 2022, at exactly 8.03, my landlines started buzzing with calls from this number. Each time I answered, there was complete silence on the other side before they hung up.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, saying there was an issue with my Virgin internet speed. They wanted me to do a speed test first. After that, they said they could boost my speed by looking at my router and asked me to open TeamViewer so they could get into my computer. I said no and ended the call straight away!

Got a call from this number, and the bloke on the line spoke with a strong Indian accent, claiming to be from BT Open Reach. He said there were problems with my internet security and kept trying to get my IP address and some other info. I just told him I'd ring up my local BT support to sort it out and ended the call. He was really persistent, which was pretty annoying.
