I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, which was weird since I haven’t sold anything on their platform for about 8 years now. Not sure what they were after, but I haven't been involved with them in ages.

I got charged twice by some seller on Amazon Pay, so I sent them an email about it. At first, they called me but I didn’t pick up after reading these reviews. Later, Amazon got back to me saying they’d attempted calling again. Funny thing is, their phone line is actually from Berlin!

I got a call from this number once, and it was Amazon doing one of those security checks. Some robot voice gave me a code to type into the website so they could verify it was me. Bit irritating, but nothing sketchy about it.

Don't just brush off these scam calls. Ages ago, on 12/07/20, someone shared detailed advice on what steps to take if we're targeted by these crooks. I wonder how many actually took any notice? This could be why the nuisance calls keep coming back. Complaining about the texts and calls rarely helps unless everyone actually takes some proper action.

Got a bunch of voicemail from some bot, probably German or Dutch, left like 30 messages. Looks dodgy to me, might be a scam.

This number +498922061040 kept ringing me about seven times, each time leaving a voicemail in German. They were counting or something, then mumbling something I couldn’t make out. I picked up on the eighth call and it was just the same weird message again. Threw the number on block after that. Honestly, those voicemails gave me a bit of a spook when I first got them.

Some unknown number kept ringing me at 2 in the morning. I don’t know anyone in Munich, so I just ignored it. They rang a few times before I finally blocked the number. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Since the 20th, this number has been ringing me up around 24 times. Every day it keeps calling repeatedly, sometimes back-to-back. There's this automated message claiming to be Amazon, it starts counting then just cuts off. Definitely not from Amazon, and I reckon it oughta be blocked.

Definitely ignore this one! Got loads of voicemails in Dutch from this number - keeps going on and on, like 5 or 6 already. Best just to block it straight away.

Got a call for my wife around 9:45 in the evening, but honestly, we couldn’t make sense of the guy on the other end. After we hung up, he left like half a dozen confusing voicemails which we just ended up deleting. Best to just hang up straight away and block the number.

I got a call just after midnight and it honestly freaked me out since I was by myself. They left a voicemail, but I couldn’t really understand any of it. Ended up just blocking the number straight away.

So I picked up and it was definitely some kind of voicemail, but the sound was really rubbish. I hung up after about 15 seconds because it was so bad. Then, not long after, the same number rang me back twice, but I just ignored it.

Luckily I didn’t pick up this call. My phone automatically silences calls from numbers I don’t recognise, and this one had a Munich dialling code. My Prime subscription with Amazon just renews automatically every year without any notification from them. It really stinks of a scam. Honestly, if you want to update anything with your Prime account, just go straight to Amazon’s site yourself - no need to trust these calls at all.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon about my Prime needing renewal. They said not to press 9, but to press 1 if I didn’t want to renew. Quite fishy if you ask me!

So this number called me but I missed it. After that, I got a msg from Amazon with a 6 digit code saying I had to verify my account. Sounds like these dodgy scammers are trying to hack in. Hope no one falls for their tricks. Such dishonest people!

On June 16, 2020, at about 7:52am, i got an automated call telling me that my amazon prime was going to renew automatically and to press 1 if i wanted to cancel. The person i got put through to barely spoke english properly and just kept agreeing to whatever i said. Their accent sounded like it might have been from india or pakistan. When i asked if i could talk to a manager or supervisor, they just ended the call.
