Got a call from +49 69 20001050 just yesterday. The person said they were from Western Union and wanted my personal details. I gave them a piece of my mind and decided to look up the number online. Loads of people reported the same scam, with someone pretending to be from Western Union in Germany. Seems like a proper con job.

Today, on 10/08/2023, I attempted multiple Western Union transfers but none went through. I checked with my bank, and they found nothing wrong on their side. After that, I got three calls from the number 00 49 69 20001050, which apparently comes from Frankfurt am Main. Since I’ve no ties to Germany, I didn’t pick up any of those calls.

Got a call from this number today right after I did a Western Union transfer. The person on the other end already knew my name and asked me who the money was for, why I was sending it, and even my date of birth. It felt a bit off.

Got a call earlier from this number just after I set up a Western Union account. Not sure if it’s legit or a scam, so I didn’t pick up and just blocked it straight away. If anyone else gets calls from numbers like this, be careful - don’t ever share your account details or anything personal with them.

They rang me twice, but Western Union never phoned at all. I asked them to email me just once to confirm it wasn’t a scam, but I never got anything from them.

Well, today 30.10.2018 I got a call from someone saying they were from Western Union. They wanted me to spend 15 minutes filling out a form, but I didn’t go for it, especially since the number was from a subscription service.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be with "Western Union", saying they noticed suspicious activity on my account. She asked me to email my login info to some address she gave me to avoid any trouble. I played along for a bit but quickly shut it down with some remarks I won’t get into here.
