Dublin, Ireland. 20/11/2020 19:40. Got a call from this number, picked up but no one said anything. The call lasted maybe 2 or 3 seconds before they just dropped it. Heard some faint sounds in the background though.

This number called me yesterday but I missed it, then they tried again today. It was a woman who said she was doing a survey for the European Commission about human rights. I said I didn't want to take part and she just said a nice "thank you" and ended the call without any pressure or weirdness.

Got a call from +49 201 83958880, the bloke spoke with a German accent and claimed to be from the European Commission. I asked what they wanted and he said it was for a survey. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number. Before that, an 02 number rang but I didn’t pick up quick enough. When I called it back, all I got was a long recorded message in German. I’ve blocked that one too.

This number keeps ringing my mobile loads of times every day, almost all week long, for the past few weeks. They never leave a message. The caller ID shows “Essen,” which, judging by the extra digits and country code, looks like it’s from Germany. Weird thing is, I’m in the UK with a UK phone number. No way I’m picking up what looks like an overseas call on my mobile. Proper annoying. Blocked straight away.

Today, this number got in touch with our office, asking to speak to someone involved in digital marketing. Not entirely sure what that entails, I informed the chap that no one was free at the moment. He responded courteously, said his goodbyes, and hung up. I didn't catch any noise typical of a call centre in the background, so I'm inclined to believe it was just another telemarketer or a nuisance caller.

this bloke said he was from strathclyde uni doing a survey about the eu. when i asked which organisation he was with, he just said "jfk." then i asked where he was calling from and he said "essen, germany." i asked for their office number and he said there wasn’t one because he was calling from a computer. i told him i could see his number on my phone and that cold calling me was illegal. he just hung up.
