My wife got a call from some dodgy robot claiming she owed unpaid taxes and would be arrested soon. It was some bloke pretending to be from HMRC, telling her to send £700 straight away or cops would show up within the hour. Totally rubbish, so we blocked the number ASAP!

I just got a call from 0044800595000 and hung up around 11:58. Later, I realised it was actually HMRC’s fraud hotline, so next time that number pops up, I won’t be picking up.
