This number keeps ringing me up like three times every day for the past week and, just like other folks have said, whoever’s calling just hangs up once I pick up. Really makes you wonder if some people actually bother to find a proper job these days.

This person rang me up claiming I'd get a refund through a cheque and even asked for my date of birth. They then wanted to know the name of the bank where I’d be depositing it. When I started asking why they needed that info, they just ended the call straight away!

Got a call earlier today but couldn't answer quick enough. I rang 1471 to check the number and didn't recognise it at all. Looked it up online and saw it's linked to Austria. Then came across the comments here saying it's a scam. Glad I didn't answer after all! I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

usually i avoid answering calls and just check the number using 1471 instead. the phone number only shows 8 digits, and guess what? all the digits that aren't zero are just 1,2,3,4,5,6. no way that's random! honestly, how stupid do they reckon we are?

So about 10 in the morning i picked up but there was silence, i said hello a couple of times then figured it was probably a spam call and just ended it.

My mum got a call saying she’d get a cheque for some interest paid that wasn’t supposed to be taken. They said they were from the UK Claims Advisory Service. Now, that place actually exists, but they never ring people up - you have to get in touch with them online. It’s a free public service here in the UK. This was obviously a scam. Their plan was to record her voice and trick her into something she never agreed to. They’re proper sneaky. I gave them a fake name, so now they’re stuck with that!

I just had a call from this number, some woman claiming she could help me get a refund on all my bank fees. I told her I never paid any in the first place. Then she put a bloke on who kept insisting he could claim the fees back. I stuck to my story, said I never had charges, and they just ended the call. Proper dodgy if you ask me!
