Honestly, if theyre slogging away in some tiny hut in India, barely earning enough to eat, and copping abuse from folks over here, it really makes me feel sorry for them. Some bloke from abroad kept banging on about cheaper calls or something. I told him I’d already cancelled my phone account, but he clearly didn’t get the memo and just carried on jibber-jabbering. I've been receiving a spate of calls from this number and several others starting with 004. Always an Indian gent on the line, who addresses me by name and claims to be calling from Opcom. Each time, I politely decline and hang up. Interestingly, my telephone provider contacted me today to inform me that another firm has submitted a request to take over my line, which I certainly didn’t initiate. I can’t help but wonder if there’s a link between these calls and that unexpected message.

I've been relentlessly pestered by calls from this number, despite having clearly stated my lack of interest in whatever it is they’re selling. It's quite maddening to receive three or four calls a day, even on a quiet Sunday evening! I've had no choice but to get a new phone and block them, yet I'm aware that they’ll likely just switch to a different number and carry on. It’s high time BT took this seriously, as the Call Preference Service seems to be utterly useless in these cases!

Got a ring from this number today and they somehow already had my name and postcode, which was a bit spooky. They said they were with Opton Telecom, which seemed legit enough. But as soon as I said I wasn’t going to verify my details, they just hung up on me. The call didn’t sound at all local, more like one of those dodgy ones warning your computer is in danger (and that’s funny, since I don’t even use Microsoft stuff). Definitely something fishy going on.

I've received yet another call on my landline from this number-yesterday, they addressed me by my full name, and I told them they had the wrong person. Today, they opted for just my title and surname, which felt a bit unsettling. Once again, I reiterated that they had dialled incorrectly. It's quite concerning that they seem to possess personal details about me, and I can’t help but worry about those who might not be as aware or cautious in such situations.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. She said my BT bills were gonna go down from what I’m paying now to a cheaper amount. When I asked for the exact current charge and the new price, she couldn’t give me any numbers but kept saying she was definitely with BT. I told her I wasn’t buying it and then she just hung up on me. Total scam if you ask me.

Had another cheeky ring today at precisely 2:05 PM on the 28th of October, 2015. It’s becoming a bit of a pattern now, isn't it? They seem to fancy calling around the same hour each day, droning on about some refund for defective Microsoft software. This time, they were after 'Mrs Bell.' When I mentioned that it was actually Miss Bell who lives here with me, they hung up quicker than you could say Jack Robinson! Always a chap with an accent that screams 'India'. Just the other week, one of these blokes had the gall to introduce himself as ‘Granny Smith’! What a right irritant, cluttering up our answerphone with their nonsense...

A bloke with an Indian accent rang me up, said he was with BT and Plusnet, and tried to sell me a cheaper landline deal for about £10 a month. When I mentioned I’d just started a new contract, he hung up straight away. Don’t really know if I should report this to my phone company or just ignore it.

An Asian lady contacted me today, claiming that my landline rental would be slashed to £9.99 next month, and that I’d only be charged one and a half pence for calls (who even knew we still had half pence coins?). I informed her that I already had a great deal which covers all national and local calls for free, up to an hour, and without missing a beat she hung up on me! I am absolutely at my wit's end with these foolish calls, particularly from individuals in Bangladesh or the like. It’s beyond infuriating! Ugh!
