All week long, I’ve had these calls from people in India first thing in the morning, like 8am sharp. I’ve told them plenty of times we’re fine with our current rental phone line and to stop calling, but they just keep ringing regardless. It never seems to end.

Got a call earlier from an Indian bloke, same guy who phoned me last week too. He was pushing some cheaper phone line deal and wanted to chat with the business owner. Honestly, if theyre slogging away in some tiny hut in India, barely earning enough to eat, and copping abuse from folks over here, it really makes me feel sorry for them. Must be a pretty bleak life to live.

Some bloke from abroad kept banging on about cheaper calls or something. I told him I’d already cancelled my phone account, but he clearly didn’t get the memo and just carried on jibber-jabbering. Then, he just cut me off! Honestly, these annoying calls about absolutely nothing are driving me crazy. Wish they would all just piss off!

This number, along with a few others beginning with 004, has been ringing me repeatedly. The bloke on the phone sounds Indian and insists on speaking to me by my given name, claiming to represent a company called Opcom. I usually just tell him I'm not interested and end the call. Today, my phone provider got in touch to inform me that some other company has requested to switch my line over, though I've never given the go-ahead for it. Could these two things be linked?

Some woman with an Indian accent called saying she was from Ofcom, but I wasn’t buying it and told her so, then she just ended the call.

This number has been calling me non-stop regardless of me clearly saying I'm not interested. Sometimes they ring me about 3 or 4 times daily, even late on a Sunday night. I ended up getting a new phone and blocking the number, but I’m sure they’ll just use a different one next. BT really should do something about this because the Telephone Preference Service clearly isn’t working at all.

this lady from india saying she’s from opton telecom keeps ringing me every week for the past 3 weeks. everytime i ask her to explain more, she just keeps saying she can cut my bill by £10. when i say i’m not interested and end the call, she rings back straight away. i’ve had enough and blocked the number now.

didn't pick up since it rang in the middle of the day, but i used 1471 to check. the code shows it's from switzerland, which is kinda weird. if the number looks fishy, it’s likely dodgy.

Got a ring from this number today and they somehow already had my name and postcode, which was a bit spooky. They said they were with Opton Telecom, which seemed legit enough. But as soon as I said I wasn’t going to verify my details, they just hung up on me. The call didn’t sound at all local, more like one of those dodgy ones warning your computer is in danger (and that’s funny, since I don’t even use Microsoft stuff). Definitely something fishy going on.

Got another ring on my landline from this number today. Yesterday, they actually dropped my full name which I found a bit creepy and told them they must have dialled wrong. Today, they just went with my title and last name, and again I told them they’d got the wrong person. Kinda worrying how they've got bits of info about you like that, especially thinking about folks who might not be as clued up on these things.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. She said my BT bills were gonna go down from what I’m paying now to a cheaper amount. When I asked for the exact current charge and the new price, she couldn’t give me any numbers but kept saying she was definitely with BT. I told her I wasn’t buying it and then she just hung up on me. Total scam if you ask me.

Got a call again at about 2.05pm on 28/10/15, seems like it’s happening every weekday around the same time now. They keep saying there’s a refund on dodgy Microsoft software. This time they were asking for a ‘Mrs Bell’, but when I told ’em Miss Bell’s my partner, they just cut off straight away. The voice sounded Indian, like usual. Last week some bloke even gave the name ‘Granny Smith’! Proper pain, they’re just filling up my answer machine and wasting space...

A bloke with an Indian accent rang me up, said he was with BT and Plusnet, and tried to sell me a cheaper landline deal for about £10 a month. When I mentioned I’d just started a new contract, he hung up straight away. Don’t really know if I should report this to my phone company or just ignore it.

Got a call from some lady with an Asian accent saying my landline rent would drop to £9.99 next month and calls would be just 1.5p each (didn’t realise they still used half pence coins!). Told her my plan includes free local and national calls up to an hour, and she just hung up right away! I’m honestly so fed up with these idiots, especially ones from Bangladesh or somewhere like that. Bloody frustrating!
