This 'National windows recycling scheme' keeps ringing me every day, and sometimes they even call me a couple times in the same day.

Proper pain in the neck, this number keeps ringing my daughter’s landline now as well. She hasn’t got one of those call-blocker gadgets, so I told her to get a personal alarm and blast it at the phone if this dodgy number keeps bothering her. Note for me - must get call-blockers sorted for all the family!

We get this all the time, like twice daily, which is really annoying. So we ended up getting a new phone with an answer machine, call blocking, and caller ID. Honestly, it was well worth the money. If the number’s unknown, the answer machine picks up straight away and the caller usually hangs up. After that, I block the number so it doesn’t ring again. Loads of calls also come up as ‘International area code not recognised’ or something like that. We just ignore them like before.

Blimey, scammers and hackers are really on the rampage these days. Like always, if I don't recognise a number I just don’t pick up. If it’s something important they’ll leave a voicemail anyway, and then if I think it’s worth it I’ll dig out my old paperwork to see if the number’s legit and ring back. This one says it’s from Italy, yesterdays was coming from the States.

some asian guy with a dodgy connection called me saying he was 'Derek' from BT Openreach, telling me there was an issue with my internet and that I needed to check my computer so he could explain it. Of course, I didn’t go along with it and he just hung up. I’ve tried to warn BT about this because it seems like they use this number a lot for scams. sad thing is, my mum got caught out last month and lost a few hundred quid (luckily the bank helped get it back). just be careful, I always report these calls as they’re nearly always fake.

Got a call from this number today. Guy sounded Asian, but couldn’t really catch what he was saying. Reckon it had something to do with bank fees or something. Told him to speak proper English, and joked that he was probably trying to get into my bank account. He just ended the call. This has been happening quite often now, usually they talk about my internet getting cut off.

Got a call from number 003905641760858, actually they rang me three times. The first time I picked up, the caller had an Asian accent and claimed to be from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my internet. I told them straight away that everything was fine and ended the call. Then within a quarter of an hour, they phoned again but I didn’t answer, same again with the third call. Wish the government would do something about these annoying calls to protect normal people from this kind of pestering.

Got a call today from 003905641760858. The person on the line seemed to know quite a bit about me. I ended up telling them my date of birth, which I probably shouldn’t have done now. They claimed there’s a government scheme refunding all bank fees from past years and said I’d get a cheque through the post. I never gave any info about my bank though. When I called the number back, an Italian lady answered. Is it worth reporting this?

She actually used my name and even said my full address. Told me she wanted to send me a package or something. Then asked for my birthday before she could do that. I told her, "I’m not daft, you must be." Didn’t give her any info. She got proper annoyed.

Some bloke phoning saying he's from Microsoft about serious malware and spyware issues. I told him I don’t even use a Microsoft PC. He then said to open my computer so he could guide me through fixing it. I told him and his mate that since I work in Cyber Security, I wouldn’t be daft enough to fall for that, especially as they had no way to connect my info to the machine. They asked what kind of computer I use. I said that info would be in the error report. Eventually, they just hung up on me. Proper muppets. Just hang up immediately!!!

I asked what company he was with, and he said Online Support. Then I asked for the name of the Managing Director and he said Peter Williams. I just told him to buzz off.

Got a call from some dodgy lot about PPI saying we were due £3600 back. They knew our name and part of our address but said we had to pick up some 'special form' from the post office. Told us not to ask any questions about it. Then they said we had to take out £270 in cash to cover fees, and they’d come collect it once the £3600 was handed over to us. Total scam, stay clear!

Yesterday, 16th of March, got hit with another scam call. This time the caller said a bank owed me money, but it wasn’t even my bank. He threw in stuff about the government and the Ministry of Justice. When I asked for his number, he gave it, but it ended up being Domestic and General. Added that number to my blocked list as well.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming the bank owed me some cash. He had my full name, address and even postcode. Asked for my dob, so I told him he was a scammer no doubt, then he started yelling so I just ended the call.

Someone rang my work earlier looking for Mrs Bird, I said there’s no one here with that name. He then asked me what my name was and I asked who he was. He said he was my husband, so I told him we’re divorced now and to leave me alone, then I ended the call. He never phoned back.

Got a call earlier, the bloke said his name but I’ve totally forgotten it now, and he had this accent, not Asian though. Claimed he was from BT and wanted to help me cut down on my phone charges. Told him I was fine with my current bill and then I just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke named "James" claiming to be from some “government claims department,” saying I’d paid too much in bank fees and wanted to give me a refund out of kindness. I told him he must think I’m daft. Then he calls me a "motherfustker," which was pretty cheeky seeing as he doesn’t even know my mum! After about 8 minutes of him shouting nonsense, I told him I was glad he stuck around so long - maybe to stop him bothering old ladies, which sounded like something he’d enjoy. He then told me to sod off a bunch of times before hanging up.

some bloke with an asian accent ringing from vatican city, italy. said he was from microsoft and told me to check my pc (like i'd actually fall for that). what i didn’t catch is they can clearly see you on your screen when they’re on the line, cos when i said i was looking at my computer he started calling me a ****** and said i was messing him about. funny how he didn’t think he was wasting my time tho. best just block the number and avoid the hassle.
