Got loads of calls from +39051512641, all coming from Italy. I just let them hang up before I pick up and then I go ahead and block the number. Better not to bother with them.

Sounds like a total scam to me. Whenever I block these Italian numbers, they just call me back from another one, always Italian too. I find the best move is to pick up and then say nothing, just keep quiet and see how long it takes for them to hang up - or sometimes I try this weird breathing thing to mess with them. Regardless, they’re a real pain in the neck!

I was just having a laugh doing animal voices with the kids when the call suddenly got cut off. Bit of a shame really, was enjoying it before they ended the call.

Got a call earlier with nothing but the usual office chatter in the background, no one actually speaking to me. Sounded like one of those scam calls. The number had an Italian dialling code, but I wouldn’t trust it actually came from Italy. These folks from Asia and Africa are getting pretty sneaky, messing around with their numbers to trick you.

Today I got a call but didn’t pick up because I usually screen unknown numbers. Later, I found a voicemail that was basically just a bunch of noise, like it came from one of those call centres. After reading what others have said about this number, I’ve decided to block it for good!

I’ve had this number ring me a bunch of times while I wasn’t home, not leaving any voicemail. When I rang back (I do have friends abroad so I usually answer international calls), it sounded like a UK line ringing back. Different countries have their own ring tones so it made me think it might actually be a UK call, even though the number starts with 0039 which looks like it’s from Italy. My phone does say it’s an international caller though. Feels a bit sketchy to me, so just be careful with this one.

This woman was speaking really loudly, claiming she was calling from Geneva in Switzerland about some skin survey. I just told her I wasn’t interested.

This number rang my grandad, who's 98, pretending to be from his bank and asking for his account info, saying they could get him better interest rates. They even suggested coming to his house!! Luckily, he was sharp as a tack and ended the call. Afterwards, he rang his bank’s official customer service line, where they told him they would never phone asking for his details, nor do home visits - they always arrange appointments at the branch instead.
