Just got a call on my home phone today, 14th June 2021, around 1:34 in the afternoon. I usually answer unknown numbers but this time I didn’t, felt kinda dodgy if you ask me.

This number has been ringing me loads of times over the past few months. I never answer or return the call. Just a heads up, don’t bother calling back - they might try to use your phone for some dodgy charges.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be from a modest business up in northern Italy dealing with organic products. She wanted to chat about my favourite Italian dishes, saying they’d send me a "welcome" box as part of their effort to enter the UK market. I told her straight away that if it involved me paying anything, I wasn’t interested. She seemed quite disappointed but accepted it, and we ended the call. Not quite sure if it was legit or a con, but I’m trying to stay open-minded for the moment.

Loads of calls come through from Italy with numbers I don't know. I just don’t pick up and block them straight away. Seems dodgy, like a scam or something. Best thing to do is not to answer if you don’t know the number. If it’s something important, they’ll leave you a voicemail anyway.

This is totally spam, just junk calls!

I answered the phone and asked, "Where did you find my number?" The person replied, "We don't have your number, love, we are..." which sounded like some skin clinic or something. I interrupted and said, "Don't ever call me again, take me off your list, this is against the law." Then they just hung up on me.
