When I rang back the first time, I was told I had won something called the "Golden Phone Award," and that it was worth £20,000! They insisted they needed my details to process the payment. Quite the peculiar situation, really!7 yearsGot a call on my house phone the other day, with some recorded message saying it was Amazon talking about my “Amazon Prime account” and that it’d auto-renew unless I hit 1 to stop it. Thing is, I never signed up for Amazon Prime, and even if I had, I wouldn’t have used my landline number for it.
