My landline keeps getting calls from some random number at all sorts of weird hours. There's this loud foreign voice on the line and somehow they already know my name. I just ignore it now. Sounds Finnish or something.

I've received numerous calls from this number, as well as others that start with the same six digits. I can't quite figure out what they're trying to peddle or if it's some sort of scam, as I've never managed to get that far in the conversation. The callers tend to become quite aggressive and coercive when I challenge them. Would it be possible to implement a loud, high-pitched siren that could blare down the line as a way to deter these sorts of calls?

Got a call from what looked like a Finnish number, but they claimed to be from Switzerland - yeah, right. They didn’t even know my name or how they’d got my details. I played along for a while, then just let the phone hang without saying a word. Eventually, they caught on I wasn’t gonna answer and hung up. Total scam, for sure.

Got a few calls from someone claiming to be a financial investment firm, and it was obvious from the start it was a scam. They kept ringing me about five times or so. Today, I finally lost it, told them off with all the nasty words I could come up with, then blocked their number for good.

Got a call from a number in Finland, the person said her name was Faith but I’ve never heard of the company she mentioned. I just ended the call straight away. Could hear some background noise, like a radio playing and people laughing.

Got a call from someone claiming to be in Zurich asking if I was familiar with Apple and stock trading. They wanted to connect me with another person for a chat. The accent sounded a bit Russian, but they mentioned Finland which I’m quite familiar with. It felt really suspicious. They even knew my first name. They’ve rang me two times now and are pretty relentless.

Picked up the first one, but all I heard was silence like usual with these crooks, then some kind of dodgy automated message kicked in - if I caught that right, the signal was rubbish anyway. Some bloke rang claiming he was from Apple, saying he wasn’t trying to sell anything, just wanted my opinion on the company. When I mentioned I’m well into my seventies, he sounded a bit surprised but kept going with his pitch. I told him I wasn’t bothered and was about to hang up. The call showed up as coming from Finland. Had a similar one the week before too.

Got a call from someone saying they were with MigoTrade in Switzerland, but the number was actually from Helsinki. They said maybe it’s cheaper to call that way or something. They were pushing Apple stocks, sounded like one of those cold call sales or maybe a scam. No clue how they got my contact info. When I brought up GDPR, they suddenly got all apologetic and promised to email me where they got my number and email. Dunno if I’ll ever hear back from them though.

This number rang me this morning around 10, but since I normally don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise, I ignored it and let it go to voicemail. Nothing was left though. Later, I searched the number online and came across this site. Wish there was a way to stop these annoying scammers for good.

Got two calls this morning, the first one was just dead silence. The second time a lady got on the line asking if I wanted to earn cash using my phone. I said no thanks, and then she went on asking what I’m into, how I spend my free time, telling me to hear her out before deciding, she said this was ‘the future’. I told her I’m too busy to have free time and told her not to ring me again. Even after I hung up I could still hear her going on.

Some bloke called looking for Mr Bourne. When I told him it wasn’t the right number, he asked, "So who’s this then?". This is the second time he’s called, and last time he was pestering my missus. Blocked his number now. These kinds of calls are just so annoying.

A guy rang me saying he had some info that could be useful for me. Right away, it felt like a sales pitch and he kept asking questions designed to get me to agree. I politely told him I wasn’t interested and wanted to end the call. Then he snaps back with "YOU’RE REALLY IDIOTIC FOR IGNORING WHAT I’M TELLING YOU!!!" Whether I was or not, I just hung up on him.

Got a call claimed to be from 'Finland' just now. I picked up but stayed silent, then things got ridiculous! I’ve scrubbed my name from what they said next: “Oi ####, ####? Are you seriously 5 or 10 years old? You’re picking up the phone like some sort of d#### dealer, what’s got you scared? You know there’s a difference between us - I’m not scared, not scared to speak my mind, especially since I earn more than you, kiddo.” Then they just dropped the call! Total scam, steer clear!

I've been getting calls from these numbers: +358 9 4272 4027 and another one from Finland. I don’t know anyone over there. I just ignore the calls and block them after. When you pick up, they keep switching numbers to keep ringing through. Proper nuisance. I’m signed up to the TPS to avoid these kinds of unwanted calls, but it doesn’t seem to be helping at all. I’m planning to report this soon.
