9 yearsSo I got this call about some PPI refund they said I was due. I asked them which company it was with, but they spoke all weird and I couldn’t make out what they said. I told them to spell it out and they went on with something like "teri-maa-ki". I stopped them right there, said I had no clue what that was. Then they told me to just google it later on. Turns out it’s actually a rude thing in Hindi. Proper cheeky!Scam9 yearsGot a call from some bloke with a weird accent who kept using "mate" all wrong, like it didn’t fit the way he spoke. He claimed to be from some "British finance something" which sounded official but was actually just rubbish. Said he was refunding insurance money to me, but then got mixed up and mentioned a loan instead. Then he backtracked, saying I'd surely remember paying it off ages ago. When I asked where he was calling from, he just hung up straight away! Total dodgey call, honestly.
