My mother got a phone call from this number, and a young woman named Jasmina was on the line, requesting my wife's mobile number. The odd thing is, she only mentioned my wife's first name and didn’t have a clue about her last name. We don’t have any acquaintance named Jasmina from Tenerife, and it raises a lot of eyebrows how she managed to get my mum’s contact details since she's based in Slovenia. The outfit supposedly goes by the name Silver Point. For the record, my mum has never set foot in Tenerife or Spain for that matter. Don’t fall for their tricks!

We hebben dit nummer uit Tenerife een paar keer op onze mobiels gehad. We waren begin dit jaar ook op Tenerife, maar kregen op het vliegveld geen enkel contact met ze. De eerste keer dat ze belden namen we op, maar daarna kwam het nummer nog een paar keer langs en omdat we het herkende, pakten we niet meer op. Denk dat we het nummer gaan blokkeren nu.

This number has begun pestering me daily for the past week. Today, I finally picked up, and a chap who called himself Roland Sierra started chatting away in Swedish. He mentioned I'd won a week’s stay in Los Christianos for a mere 220 euros. However, I can’t seem to locate anyone by that name or any hotel under that title. If you try to reach them on their mobile, you'll find they don’t pick up, nor do they return calls. Your best bet is to grab the company phone number and dig for the name of the owner or director. Don’t let them take you for a ride! Oh, and the company behind this is Silverpoint Timeshare.

Op 10 april '15 kreeg ik voor het eerst een telefoontje van dit nummer. Omdat er "Tenerife" op het scherm stond, nam ik niet op, ik dacht dat het gewoon een vergissing was. Maar vanochtend belden ze weer. Even dat nummer opgezocht op internet en toen kwam ik hier terecht! Trouwens, ik was in november 2014 op Tenerife en werd daar op de luchthaven aangesproken door een vrouw. Ze was gekleed in een reisbureau-uniform, dus ik dacht niet dat het iets verkeerds was toen ik haar vragen beantwoordde. Ze vertelde dat je een week vakantie kon winnen... Sindsdien heb ik het nummer maar geblokkeerd.

I got a call too. We never filled out any survey in Tenerife or gave our phone number anywhere except when booking a boat trip through the travel agency Sunweb. Anyway, I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

We experienced something rather similar! We got a phone call announcing that we had clinched a week-long holiday in Tenerife. The line was dreadful, though, and we could hardly make out what the caller was saying. They mentioned they’d ring us back, but who knows if that’ll actually happen? Quite strange, isn’t it?

Vandaag kreeg ik weer mijn eerste belletje van die nummer. Hoop echt dat ze niet nog een keer bellen. Op de luchthaven van Tenerife, bij de check-in op 31 mei 2014, werd ik ook in het Nederlands benaderd. Ze stelden me vragen over het eiland en zeiden dat ik een reis kon winnen of misschien terugkrijgen. Had toen ook echt m’n telefoonnummer moeten geven. Echt dom van me!!!

Back in October 2013, while waiting in line at Tenerife airport, a lady approached us to fill out a survey that entered us in a draw to win a week at a Tenerife hotel. She jotted down our details on her tablet. Then, on Tuesday 27 May 2014, I found a voicemail telling me I'd won a week for four people valued at €215. When I rang 0034922761599, of course, it went straight to an answerphone. Is this a scam or not?

For about three weeks now, I've been getting around three or four calls daily, maybe even more when I'm out. I haven't been overseas in over two years, so it's a bit weird how they've managed to get my number. I always look at who's calling before I pick up the phone.

Tijdens het inchecken op de luchthaven liep er een vrouw rond met een duidelijk Belgisch accent. Ze vroeg of ik even wat vragen wilde beantwoorden over Tenerife, en ze wilde ook mijn telefoonnummer omdat ik kans maakte op een reis. Ze gaf de indruk dat ze voor een Nederlands reisbureau werkte en dat het voor verbetering van hun reizen was. Achteraf kreeg ik een raar gevoel ervan. Intussen, na een jaar, krijg ik nog steeds bijna elke week telefoontjes. Sinds het begin neem ik de telefoon niet meer op, hopelijk stopt het een keertje. Door dit nummer op te zoeken ben ik nu erachter gekomen wat ik eigenlijk deed toen ik mijn nummer doorgaf, echt dom van me.

There’s only one other comment here about this number, but honestly, I completely agree with it. I just got a call from this same number and the whole thing reminded me of an incident at the airport. From what I recall, they seemed to act like official customs officers, which made me think they had some proper authority. I actually told my wife as we walked off, “Why did I even bother stopping?” Seriously, don’t ever stop and engage with them!!

While waiting in line to check in after returning from Tenerife, this bloke popped up asking if I had a good trip and then quizzed me about the tallest mountain on the island. After that, he asked for my personal info. Turns out it’s a sneaky marketing trick. Make sure you warn your mates heading to Tenerife not to fall for these dodgy guys!
