I've been getting loads of calls from a holiday company trying to sell promotional holiday weeks in Tenerife. They're nonstop!

Got a call from a travel firm pushing promotional holiday weeks at the Beverley Hills complex down in Cristianos, Tenerife. Sounded like one of those offers you hear about but rarely see for real.

My mother got a phone call from this number, and a young woman named Jasmina was on the line, requesting my wife's mobile number. The odd thing is, she only mentioned my wife's first name and didn’t have a clue about her last name. We don’t have any acquaintance named Jasmina from Tenerife, and it raises a lot of eyebrows how she managed to get my mum’s contact details since she's based in Slovenia. The outfit supposedly goes by the name Silver Point. For the record, my mum has never set foot in Tenerife or Spain for that matter. Don’t fall for their tricks!

We have also been called several times on our respective mobile numbers from this number in Tenerife. We were indeed in Tenerife earlier this year. By the way, we were not approached at the airport. We answered the first time. After that, we received several calls on our second mobile but recognized the number and therefore did not answer anymore. We will also block the number.

This number has begun pestering me daily for the past week. Today, I finally picked up, and a chap who called himself Roland Sierra started chatting away in Swedish. He mentioned I'd won a week’s stay in Los Christianos for a mere 220 euros. However, I can’t seem to locate anyone by that name or any hotel under that title. If you try to reach them on their mobile, you'll find they don’t pick up, nor do they return calls. Your best bet is to grab the company phone number and dig for the name of the owner or director. Don’t let them take you for a ride! Oh, and the company behind this is Silverpoint Timeshare.

Yesterday evening (10/04/'15), I received a call from this number for the first time. I saw "Tenerife" and promptly declined the call, thinking that the caller must have dialed the wrong number. This morning, I received another call from the same number... So, I decided to Google the number and ended up here immediately! It turns out that I did visit Tenerife in November 2014 and was approached by a lady at the airport. However, she was wearing a travel agency uniform, so I didn't suspect any malicious intent when answering her questions! She mentioned that I could win a one-week stay with this offer... I have now blocked the number.

We have also been called. However, we did not fill out any questionnaire or leave our phone number in Tenerife, except with the travel agency Sunweb when booking a boat excursion. I have now blocked the number.

Ignore. It is a time-share company that will bother you considerably.

Upon returning from Tenerife, you might encounter an individual in the check-in line, who seems overly interested in your holiday experience and casually inquires about the highest peak on the island. Afterward, he’ll request your personal information. It’s a rather sneaky marketing tactic. Do spread the word among your mates heading to Tenerife, and warn them not to fall for these tricksters!

I also got caught at the airport. Next time, I plan to communicate with them in the Irish language and provide Enda's mobile number. He's very sociable and is willing to talk to anyone.

We experienced something rather similar! We got a phone call announcing that we had clinched a week-long holiday in Tenerife. The line was dreadful, though, and we could hardly make out what the caller was saying. They mentioned they’d ring us back, but who knows if that’ll actually happen? Quite strange, isn’t it?

Today I received my first mobile phone. Hopefully, it won't call back anymore. I was also addressed in Dutch at the Tenerife airport on May 31st, 2014, during the check-in. I had to answer questions about the island and could win or win back a trip as a result. I did have to provide my mobile phone number. Silly me!

I visited Tenerife precisely a year ago. Three weeks ago, I received a call from this same number, and now I'm getting calls every day this week. I can relate to the experiences shared here. They even spoke to me at the airport while we were getting ready to leave. It's quite bothersome. However, I've already blocked the number to put a stop to it.

In October 2013, while queuing at Tenerife airport, we were approached by a lady who asked us to fill out a questionnaire for a chance to win a week's stay in a hotel in Tenerife. She recorded our details on her tablet. On Tuesday 27th May 2014, I listened to a message on my voicemail, announcing the 'good news': we had won a one-week stay for four people at €215. I called the number 0034922761599 and of course, reached a voicemail. Was this a scam or not?

Over the past three weeks, I've been getting around 3 to 4 phone calls per day, or maybe even more when I'm not at home. It's quite puzzling because I haven't travelled abroad in the last two years, and yet they somehow have my contact number. I've developed a habit of always checking the incoming calls before proceeding to answer the phone.

We recently received a call from 0034/922761599, who invited us to contact 0034/922787023, claiming that we had won a one-week stay for four people at a luxurious 5-star hotel in Los Cristianos for just 215 euros. This offer supposedly stemmed from a questionnaire we completed during our check-in queue back in November. However, after reading through previous comments, we are growing increasingly suspicious of this.

I have also experienced a similar situation while in Tenerife. I received a phone call after checking in, and we immediately sensed that the individuals on the other end were trying to extract information from us by asking questions. It was clear that it was a scam.

I can see that there is only one comment above about this number, and I completely agree with every word of it.
I recently received a phone call from this number and realized that it must be related to the incident at the airport.
I remember that they pretended to be official customs personnel, so I thought they had some kind of authority.
I also recall telling my wife as we walked away, "Why on earth did I stop?"
My advice is not to stop and engage with them under any circumstances!!!!!

Be cautious when returning from Tenerife and joining the check-in queue, as you may encounter an individual who will engage you in friendly conversation about your trip, including inquiring about your enjoyment and posing a question regarding the highest mountain in Tenerife. However, be aware that this person is employing a marketing tactic to obtain your personal information. It is important to share this information with your friends who plan on visiting Tenerife so that they are not deceived by these fraudulent individuals.
