Received a ring from +34 919 99 99 99 earlier today. Recognised the +34 code as international, so I chose to let it ring out.

Got a call from Spain, international code and all. I figured it was just some pointless call, so I didn't pick up. Later, I decided to look it up here just to see what it was about.

I keep getting calls from some call centre claiming to be from BT or Microsoft about my Windows or TalkTalk account. If you want to block all these scam calls for good, check out [spam website] - it worked perfectly for me.

I received a call from a woman claiming to be from BT regarding our broadband. She mentioned something about a power outage affecting our line and then abruptly disconnected the call. Quite odd, really.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT Openreach saying our internet’s too slow and they could offer faster, cheaper broadband. Funny they’re saying that, considering we’re stuck with rural radio broadband because BT hasn’t even rolled out superfast in our area yet. Totally a scam, absolutely not from BT or Openreach.

Got a ring from this number a bit ago. Some bloke with a foreign accent claimed to be from TalkTalk and started with the usual rubbish about how I was doing. Bit of a bad move, cos I was already fuming at someone else. I told him flat out I was really mad he’d bothered to call and that I’d be reporting him to the cops. Told him to jog on, sharpish. I’ve had calls like this loads over the last few months, all pretending to be from TalkTalk and trying to get into my computer. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

A bloke called himself John Williams from TalkTalk’s tech team. I just ended the call straight away since a guy with that same name rang me back in July. When I told him we’d switched providers and weren’t with TalkTalk anymore, he got really nasty and started being inappropriate. I ended up reporting it to the cops.

I received a rather dubious phone call claiming to be from BT Openreach, insisting I perform a speed test as they were set to upgrade my connection to fibre optics from the exchange. Sensing something fishy, I decided to play along and went through the motions of the test. They then inquired about my phone provider, to which I replied EE, providing my download and upload speeds along with my ping rate. The operator seemed rather taken aback and handed me over to a so-called senior technician who requested an extensive 25-minute discourse. I cheekily responded, “Righto, let’s proceed then,” much to his shock. He proceeded to instruct me to pop onto Google and type in www.teamviewer, but I swiftly interjected, asking him, “Do I sound like I have three heads?” To put it mildly, the call reeked of overseas scamming. TeamViewer is notorious for allowing remote access to your computer-need I elaborate further? I suggested he reconsider his life choices before he finds himself in the depths of perdition, as it seems he could be there for quite a stretch!

Got a robo call saying my kitchen appliance warranty's nearly expired and to press one to renew it. Seeing other reports about this number, I'd say it's best to be careful - whoever they say they are, it sounds dodgy.

He claimed to be calling from the Telephone Preference Service and asked me to verify whether my bank card's expiry date was 2018. Then he strangely requested the lengthy "membership" number! I told him outright that he was a fraud and that I was about to involve the police. He hung up on me without a word.
That’s the second dodgy call I’ve received today!

I got a call from this number and it just went dead quiet before dropping the call. What's the deal with that? Some folks seriously have way too much free time and nothing better to do.

This number rang me up askin for my husband. I told them he wasn't about, and they got really rude, then just hung up on me. Later they called again but this time asking for me. When I asked why they wanted my husband they just laughed and said it weren’t them. I just calmly told them to sort their selves out and ended the call. Proper cheeky behaviour!

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, said his name was Ben and he was with TalkTalk. He somehow knew my account number and said if I gave it to him, he’d fix my internet issues. I asked him my security questions, then he just hung up on me.

This number has ringed me around 10 times. Twice on 23.9.16, there was just a recorded voice saying they were from Norton, I told them we weren’t customers and asked them to stop calling. Then on 26.9.16, someone with a strong accent called saying they were from Sky talking about cancelling a service. My husband wasn’t impressed and asked why the call came from where it did, as the thick accent made it hard to follow. The caller said Wood Green, but I really didn’t buy it.

Received a call informing me that my internet would be cut off due to supposed security issues with my laptop. They kindly suggested they could guide me through the process to rectify it. I felt cornered into taking their so-called assistance, and they went on to recount a series of steps for me to follow on my device. I jotted down their information before ending the call.

Steer clear of their calls - it's just a bunch of jokers ringing up about some daft pension assessment. I've told them a good ten times to quit it, yet they persist in bugging me. Utterly ridiculous!

I received a similar phone call while I was over in Crete. The individual on the other end claimed they had stumbled upon a phone that belonged to my wife and even mentioned her name. I’ve got a feeling this caller might be from Wexford in Ireland.
