At about 1:30 this afternoon, I got a call from this number. Since my phone shows who’s calling, I just let it ring without picking up. The answerphone kicked in after a couple of rings, then the caller hung up. Blocked the number straight away.

Watch out - this is a scam! They rang me claiming my insurance was up for renewal. Problem is, I don’t have any insurance at all, so nothing to renew. I checked with Sky myself, and it’s definitely not them. This number is definitely not from Sky, and they said they wouldn’t make calls like this anyway. Total scam.

Beware of Sky insurance cover; it seems to be a complete con. I received a call from someone with an Indian accent trying to sell me something, but the thing is, I’ve got no Sky products whatsoever!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming my Sky breakdown cover needed renewing. I told him I didn’t have any such cover but he kept saying I did and that I had to renew it immediately. I just said no thanks and hung up. Later, I looked up the number on my call blocker and blacklisted it. Hopefully, he won’t try ringing from a different number, but if he does, I’ll give him a real earful!

I continue to receive a barrage of unsolicited phone calls, with many of them coming from 'withheld numbers'. This particular time, I answered the call, only for the other end to hang up abruptly. I can’t say I’ve encountered this number before, although it bears resemblance to a few other persistent callers I’ve dealt with in the past. There was this one time, ages back, when a company claiming to be Sky reached out, trying to sell me insurance for my Sky box. They claimed that if it malfunctioned, I’d be hit with a £70 fee just for a visit. I told them plainly that if my box failed, I’d simply switch providers. They pushed for a bit longer, but eventually got the hint and backed off.

As soon as I picked up and heard an Indian accent, I immediately guessed it was one of those dodgy scammers. He was trying to convince me to renew some breakdown cover with Sky - breakdown cover for what, internet signals or something? Complete nonsense. So, I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine and unloaded a barrage of racial insults for about half a minute. Funny thing is, he seemed to enjoy it and actually called me back less than a minute later. I didn’t mind, had a bit of fun myself, so I guess everyone walked away satisfied.

Incredibly irritating, to say the least! I've received several calls where I answer with a simple 'hello', only for the other end to abruptly disconnect. Did a bit of digging and this number popped up-honestly, how rude!

Got a call from someone who sounded Indian but the number started with Spain’s code (0034). They were talking about renewing sky insurance, which I don’t even have. I asked straight up if they were trying to scam me, no reply at all. I just hung up telling them scammers deserve a right good punishment :P

Got a call from someone who sounded like he was Indian but the number started with 0034, which I think is Spanish. He was going on about renewing some sky insurance thing which I've never even had. I straight up asked if he was a scammer, but no reply. Ended up telling him that scammers deserve a proper old fashioned punishment 😉 and then hung up.

Got a call from someone saying my sky insurance was up for renewal. They seemed quite shocked when I told them I wasn’t with Sky at all, so I just hung up. The annoying thing is, once these types have your number, they keep ringing nonstop.

I got a call earlier claiming that my Sky insurance had run out and they wanted me to pay for a year or two. I told them I don’t have any Sky stuff with me, then the person cheekily asked when would be a better time to call back to chat to my husband. I just ended the call straight away and blocked the number.

Got two calls from these lot today saying they were with Sky. If they really were, why the heck would they be pushing me to cough up £79 right then and there? I already have a direct debit set up that renews itself anyway. Plus, they rang my landline, but I only ever gave Sky my mobile. Honestly, steer well clear of these scammers - they’re relentless and don’t take no for an answer. Bet they manage to con some folks out of cash by just pestering them nonstop.

I've received a notice about renewing my Sky equipment insurance, but here's the thing - I don’t even possess any Sky gear! The person on the other end was adamant that I had to go through with the renewal, so eventually I decided to end the call. Quite baffling, really!

Got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent, saying he was calling from ‘Sky’ about my ‘equipment insurance’ running out. I wasn’t having any of it and let him know exactly what I thought. Total scam, no doubt.

I received a rather peculiar phone call earlier from someone claiming to be from "Sky," alleging it was regarding the warranty for my Sky gear. So, I responded, "We haven't been customers of Sky for at least six years now." To my astonishment, he shot back, "When were you meant to inform us about that?!" I was quite bewildered and simply said, "... Pardon?" He proceeded to insist, "You don't have Sky? When should you have told us?!" I replied, "... There was no need to ever inform you." It was at that point he abruptly ended the call.
