Got a call from an Asian bloke asking if I was someone (used my name). I told him no one by that name lived here. Then he wanted my name, I told him it wasn’t any of his business and hung up. Looks like these scammers are operating from Spain (34 is the area code). The nerve of that muppet to demand my name without even saying who he is or why he’s ringing. The only way to deal with these crooks is to threaten sending some mates over and letting them know where they hang out. Absolute muppets! The TPS do nothing at all.

My wife picked up this call about 8 in the evening since it showed a European number. An Asian guy asked for Mr H###### (me), but wouldn’t say what he wanted. She told him to buzz off and never call back. These scammers use digital lines so they can fake any number, no matter where they really are. You’d think the government could issue some kind of national security alert to protect innocent folks from getting conned by these charlatans. I can block them myself, but why should it be left to us when they’re all just scams?

He asked what the guy wanted and was told it was some kind of lifestyle survey which would supposedly benefit us. My partner said he didn’t see how answering random questions could help and reckoned it was just a cold call. The bloke then just hung up. This whole thing about doing a “lifestyle survey” seems dodgy to me - looks like they’re trying to collect info bit by bit to either sell on or use for scams. Seriously, don’t give out your details, it can all be turned against you later. Also worth noting, the number they showed begins with 0034, which is Spain’s code. UK landlines usually don’t get genuine international numbers showing up unless it’s a mobile calling, so they’re probably pretending it’s Spanish to avoid suspicion.

2:55 in the afternoon, Wednesday 1st July 2015 - a bloke with a strong foreign accent called asking for me by name, said he was doing a survey for some company called Life Line or something like that, couldn’t make out much of what he was saying! I told him I’m on the Telephone Preference Service and he had no right to call me. Then I just ended the call. He kept interrupting me when I was tied up with an important job at home, and at that exact time my missus was having surgery in the local hospital, so it was really upsetting. These bloody telemarketers deserve no good at all.

I got a call from a guy with a Filipino accent doing some kind of survey. I said the bloke he was looking for wasnt around and that I was this German mate of his called Otto Von Schlaffenhaffer. For like 10 minutes he was struggling to spell Schlaffenhaffer right, then I started pretending to snore loudly and he just gave up and hung up.

They kept ringing me at all hours when no one should be awake. When I asked how they got my number, they just ended the call straight away!

Got a missed call on my BT line, which has call blocking, so I guess they didn’t realise they had to press a button, say their name and wait for an answer. No worries though, I looked up the number and saw it was a scam from somewhere in Asia, so I just blocked it for good.

calling someone who died 10 years ago? seriously, this is so upsetting!!! no respect at all from this caller, they really should lose their job, plain and simple!!!

Had a call from a woman with an asian accent asking if she was talking to mrs can'tbebotheredwithspammers. I said "No, who is this?" she said she was carrying out a survey. When I asked where she got my number from she said it was from some public list and she was ringing loads of people nearby. I told her the number is on the TPS but she just said it’s only a survey. I put the call on speaker but she ended the call before I could ask her to take my details off whatever list they have.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who asked if she was speaking to Mrs Can'tBeBotheredWithSpammers. I said no, and asked how I could help. She said she was conducting a survey. When I asked where she found my number, she claimed it was from a public database and that she was ringing loads of people in the area. I told her the number was on the TPS list, but she just insisted she was only doing a survey. Put the call on speakerphone, but she ended it straight away. Never got round to telling her to delete my info.

I picked up and the caller just cut off straight away... they've rung me 3 times in less than a week.

I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly, but whenever I pick up, there's nobody on the other end. Quite annoying!

Got a call earlier from a woman (asian) looking for someone called Leona. That’s not me, so I told her to take me off their calling list. She then went on about speaking to the number’s owner and kept going on. Took a while before I could cut in and say I wasn’t interested. She then promised to take me off their system and ended the call.

Got a call around 8:10 pm, even though I’m on the do-not-call list. I asked the person for their company name and location, but they wouldn’t say. I ended up just hanging up. The caller, who sounded foreign, kept pushing me to answer his questions even after I said no several times.

Received a call at 2:08pm on 11th June 2015 - had been rung earlier but there was silence. This time, an Asian gentleman answered saying he was with an internet company. I mentioned the TPS to him about cold calls, not realising it was an international number - I had to use 1471 to find out afterwards. He kept pressing for my info, so I asked for his number so I could report the call. Guess what? He just hung up on me.
